Man, just remember, when it comes to athletics, esp. fast races like 100 m, our Indian bodies can never really compete with the Europeans or the Africans. Thats a hard biological fact. And the quality is more important than the quantity. How many Indian runners can even break even 10.2 sec barrier leave alone 10 or 9.9 sec barrier ? The most we can hope is to give the best talent , the best possible exposure. After P.T Usha, India has hardly produced a world class athlete. Its a bizzaire idea to think that by banning cricket we will get 1000 Bolts. First try to produce one more P.T Usha, then think of Bolts..    Forward   |   Report abuse

Do you think those Kenyan and Ethiopian runners have better infrstructure than us? No. Its their natural athletic ability which allows them to excel.
