Bolt is capable of reaching less than 9.5 secs. Only thing he has to keep the pace and not be distracted by the timer clocks or the surroundings.

What an incredible race... 9.58 sec is just impossible unless its usain bolt.

Even Tyson Gay was saying he could break the world record of 9.69 before this race. Shows its not easy.

Also there was a decent tail wind which is important if record are to be bettered.

Bolt's Achievement

Dito Mr. Krishnan's views. Like him I was about to finish HS from Delhi and it was a talking point of Bob Hayes achievement and now the BOLT from the BLUE. I am in China since last year and here people still speak of that magnificient run of last year and now they query what next by him?

The world awaits and I do belief even Mr. Bolt cannot confirm as he does what he wants on the spur of the moment.

Bolt's 100 m record
by SKK KRISHNAN on Aug 17, 2009 09:45 AM

I was a young man with keen interest in Athletics, when Bob Hayes clocked 10sec in the 1964 Tokyo olympics. The world as a whole stood up and cheered. I somehow feel that enthusiasm is missing these days. What Bolt has done is something stupendous. This record, if nor broken by him again, will stand for the next twenty years, like the long jump record by Bob Beamon. We have just seen a superhuman performance. Let us join and congratulate him.
