Why? If the whole tournament's prize money is $75K, then do you think most of it goes to the winner and the runner-up of the ladies singles only? What about all the other players in the semis, quarters etc., in the men's singles, men's doubles, ladies singles, ladies doubles, mixed doubles etc.? Show some brains for a change and stop talking about that class of others...

The winner of this tournament Stephanie received prize money of $11,400.
When a tennis tournament prize money is quoted with the title of the tournament name, it is the total prize money.. It not the prize money for the winner. Players who lost in previous rounds also will receive some prize money.
In the major tournaments and grand slams, players get prize money even if they lose in first round. I do not know abt this tournament, since it is low rated tournament. I assume that they get prizemoney here also.
ITF and challenger tournaments are usually played by players who ennter the professional tennis , to earn some points and move up in the ranking.
It is no wonder that Sania reached two consecutive finals where no players from top 100 participated. She played well in the US hard court season in 2007 playing in better rated WTA tournaments, before the US open. It was most consistent performance from her ever during her career.

It is not necessary to give your whereabout to "WADA". WADA can give cricketer ring on their MOBILE whenever they want to test them and go there. There is nothing wrong what cricketer say. WADA people can use their sense and work for goodwill of sports.
Sania seems to be in Top Form, winning WTA event 2 weeks back and reaching Final this time. Engagement has worked wonder for Sania, this is a nice preparation for U.S.open starting from 31 Aug. Sania Expected to Reach Quarter Final this time as she did in 2005.Good going Sania, keep it up.

Don't be excited abt Sania. In this Tournament she was top seeded which should reflect the capabilities of her opponents. In spite of her being the top seed she lost the final and become No.2! In her previous tornament also she faced weak opponents and won. Of course she may be in form but expecting her to become World No.1 will remain a dream for ever!

She becomes #1 Player in the world or not. she has done enough to inspire a generation to take up to tennis, which itself is a achievement, Lets support her in all her endeavorer. Cricket is played just in 10 nations, tennis is a global sport. Travelling, managing engagements, family, choosing tour events to play all this is not a easy joke. having handled all such things and still coming out playing tennis is quite incredible. Step in to her shoes u all will relaize what is her achievement that too being a girl
