BCCI and pompous cricketers are fit for nothing. Fame and money has gone into their head. Y so much of hue and cry for the same. When big sportsman's like Roger Federer,Rafael Nadal, Tiger Woods, and Indians like Abhinav Bindra, Sania mirza hv signed about the same then what is the problem with these ppl.
They r having objection about "whereabouts"...which can be harmful for their security. But ur life can be risk at any point and I guess these things will be kept confidential with utmost and strict priorities. How it can be leaked unless bribed or by some other way. They should cooperate WADA and ICC for the same.
This all is happening bcoz of money which they r getting like anything. Cut down the payments so that their feet will touch to the land.

absolutely foolish statement from an person who doesn't know what he is talking about. The cricketers have not gone against WADA, they have just raised a concern over one of the clauses which invades their privacy and every human being has the right to protect his/her privacy. They just want an assurance and the matter will be solved. You are such a foolish guy who doesn't know what you are talking about. when WADA came up with these clauses athletes all around the world protested first, likewise the cricketers might not have understood the clauses, like have not understood the situation and reacting like a shit minded pig, they are also doing the same.

Cricket is played in only 8 countries out of about 200 countries. Even in countries like England, West Indies, SA it is not the No. 1 sports.
So Cricket is basically a LOW GRADE SPORTS when looked from International perspective.
So who are Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni , Yuvraj and Harbhajan ? So called Gods/Greats/Heroes of A LOW GRADE SPORTS. And they are questioning WADA !! I am a BIG FAN of Cricket, and this is the ONLY sport I follow. But it pains me when our Cricketers behave like this. Basically they are pampered by fans , including myself. But we should NOT LOOSE POINT OF VIEW FROM A BROADER PERSPECTIVE.

well said rambo!!! Spot on.. Even I am avid fan of cricket and crickters....but there is litmit to everything. As I said it is all happening bcoz of money. Had they starved for money they would hv accepted this straigtway.
From News reports it is emerging that basically Dhoni, Yuvraj , Harbhajan and Sachin are opposed to WADA .
My question is :
1. Why only Athletically strong players, namely, Dhoni, Yuvraj and Harbhajan are opposed. Are they guilty of taking some banned substances ? 2. And Why Sachin is opposed. It seems he is also taking some banned substance to heal his tennis elbow and groin and sustain tillWC 2011?
First of all cricket is not a class game like football or tennis. In fact, drugging does not have much effect on cricket as physical strain is less compared to athletics or football. Signing in Anti-Doping Agency code has nothing to do with cricket.

correct i think sania and bhupathi sd mind their business as they have no choice. It is job of ICC to check doping signing on WADA or TADA is not of much relevance rather player will have lot of tensions on their mind on their normal life. infact fo any treaty where ur privacy need to be on open paper. let the tennis, nba, swimming and other athlete based game sign on it. cricket, golf, etc are gentleman game where it is played over long duration with tea, lunch, breaks, etc. No need to sign dude we support your privacy.

ya it is very small game and thus wada is not applicable. wada are meant for generally meant for those game which last time slaves used to play. they were doped with drugs. cricket, golf, etc are gentlemen game. so FO Wada.

no dear chauwa. they r objecting on declaration of whereabouts of next 3 months in advance. FYI all cricketers goes thru mandatory regular dope testing.
WHO IS SANIA AUNTY TO ADVISE CRICKETERS? WHAT IS HER ACHIEVEMENT IN TENNIS? BEING A SINGLES PLAYER SHE SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON WINNING A SINGLE GRAND SLAM (WHICH I M SURE SHE WILL NEVER WIN). BUT OFCOURSE CRICKETERS SHOULD AGREE TO THIS CLAUSE OF THE ICC. THERE'S NO POINT IN DIS-AGREEING.

mr. anand, y r u so barking loud? think deep in ur heart with all respect to sports and then tell does sania deserves the media glare & everything. u tell me what is her achievement? do u know the name of top 10 women players of tennis?? who cares for world no. 80 or so. i didn't advise cricketers understand. again my question "what do u know about me and my generations?" don't criticise just for the sake of doing it. maybe u should give me ur email id i will reply u in detail. u r just a poor sania aunty's fan.
It has become fashion to blast BCCI for every stand they take. However, this time they are right in opposing wherabout clause. I think WADA is going overboard with its mission and may not bother about difficulties players face about some of its clause. Someone strong such as BCCI has power to force WADA to think and review its rules.

class is decided by class of people so lets not debate. cricket is a game of gentlemanship and not war like game where players push, breaks angle, kicks like football nor it is a game of slaves where you play for 2-3 hours at max like tennis. Cricket and Golf are game of characters and enduring one. Cricket already have anti-doping clause and regular test is part of game. those who are ill-informed talk such. Individual privacy sd be respected and WADA sd remove that clause if its intention is just to check doping.
