Chelsea = Anti-football.
by Rizwan Khan on Apr 29, 2009 06:42 PM  | Hide replies

I live in europe and the media here are all talking about anti-football and how boring chelsea are.

When chelsea get knocked out next week it will be good riddance!!

How can a team go to a football game and NOT PLAY FOOTBALL. It goes against the ethics of the beautifull game.

If Chelsea get to the final it will be a VERY sad day for world football. Very very sad..football would have died.

But the good news for all football lovers is that it will not happen. How can a team go through when they only had 1 shot on goal and that too with a barca defensive error.

Chelsea will get knocked out and world football will be saved!

Anti- football ?

my dear their motive was to , not concede a goal in barcelona. understand that in the champions league there are two legs. The result of their strategy was that,

a) barcelona for the first time did not score at home this season.
b) barcelona attacking with their full strength could not break the chelsea defense. so now barcelona players are in doubt and chelsea have high morale for the final leg in london with fan support.
c) barcelona dont know, how chelsea attacks because they didnt in the first leg, so they cannot predict. plus now that their three main defenders marquez, puyol and yaya toure will not be playing in the 2nd leg due to injury and bookings, chelsea are at advantage.

if it was a one match decider, let me assure you chelsea would be going for the kill

Now we are gonna tear them apart at Stamford Bridge.

What point in having 70% possession when they simply didn't have any idea what to do with the ball? Simple, stupid FCB guys didn't know you need to have a world class striker to put that ball into the goal.

They were mindlessly meandering with the ball at the centre of the pitch and looked absolutely directionless.

Had luck favored a bit more then Drogba would have scored before half time. But anyway a very good result.

Rome is going to be Blue soon.

Dude...Just playing good passing football doesnot not mean a team should win. It is the tactics and the attitude of the players that matter in the end. Barca was no doubt a wonderful team to watch but chelsea did very well to come out with a goal less draw. Now it is their turn to defend at bridge without their full defence. I personally feel clubs like arsenal and barcelona take too much of passing just to score one goal.....Remember last season when they lost 0-1 to MANU....they had 60% of possesion with the ball...but whats the use...

Anti football is not good for the game of soccer. Ask any fan out there that this type of football is not admired.

Anyway Barcelona will knock out chelsea at the bridge so no injustice will be done. Chelsea will need to open up and attack and the moment they do that, they will be ripped apart.

Barcelona have better players, better way of playing, and entertain the millions watching around the world.

Chelsea were playing football which noone likes, boring, defending. I hope they get knocked out they do not deserve to be in the final.

When Barcelona score at the bridge its ALL OVER!

Let's talk of result.
You mean Barca didn't 'attack' last night??? They did, yes. But what's the result? Couldn't score one.

Same fate awaits them at SB. Watch out. Blues are going to tear them apart.

No fun holding onto ball for 70% time, you need scorers, which Barca don't have.

BTW, every team yearns to score at home and every away team considers it great if they don't allow the opponent.Keeping this in mind, I think Chelsea did exactly what was expected of them. That is, to defend. Period.

Sad day for football!!
by Rizwan Khan on Apr 29, 2009 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

One team was playing football to win. BARCA.
The other team was defending with 11 men. CHELESEA.

Chelsea deserve to be knocked out of europe for the sake of world football. Barca must be in the final.

Everyone who saw the game yesterday know what im talking about..

Chelsea had 1 shot on goal in 90 minutes. 1 shot on goal??? and that was due to a defensive blunder.

Chelsea cannot play like this at the bridge, if they come out and play football, barca will rip them apart.

For the sake of FOOTBALL in general, BARCA must be in that final in rome.

I Think you dont know what happened to LYON & BAYERN MUNICH....they were trashed by Barca coz they were attacking team....it was Gus Hiddink's strategy to be good at defence and get opportunity to counter attack...in the return leg Barcelona will meet the same fate as REAL MADRID & VILLAREAL recieved at the hands of EPL Teams.
