Spanish and serie A are boring n defensive, except for Barca and maybe inter milan. the worlds best prefer epl, and so do people the world over. 3/4 teams in the semis are english clubs.

Don't be an ass. Indians follow EPL simply because they do not understand spanish/Italian/French et al. Nothing to do with Football per se; the English are amongst the worst football playing teams in the world context. Most of the top EPL teams consist of Spanish/Italian/French speakers with just about passing English. So the coaches.

Wat Nisha said doesnt have anything to do with the English or any other European country players, wat she meant was EPL is the best league of football, tat doesnt mean English players are good. To be honest, teres no other league tats as entertaining as EPL. I have been a big follower of EPL from 1984 back in school, Liverpool being my fav and switched to Man Utd in 1998. I have watched all the other leagues too, including Serie A and La Liga. If they cud get better commentators for the world-wide audience and improve the game speed standards, then people would watch. But the fact now is, EPL is the best

I completely agree with James and Nisha. i am a great follower of football and i sincerely feel that the spanish and italian league are quite far behind EPL in terms of entertainment. EPL teams dominate the champions league for the past 2 to 3 years which is a real testament. May be lack of awareness and branding efforts of the other 2 leagues are not prominent in India which makes Indians to follow EPL religiously. Only couple of spanish league matches are shown & that too late in the night. Italian league matches are not shown at all. That makes people not able to appreciate the greatness of the other two leagues.

I dnt think so....Spanish league is very entertaining compared to EPL....also its not a money driven league and a more competitive league....last year Raing Santander almost missed a UCL spot after being promoted and Zaragoza was relegated.....
Also most of the FIFA player of the year come from La Liga(most probably Messi will get it this time)....We dnt follow it because of our time zone which suits EPL...thats y EPL is popular among asian audience......
