MOHUN BAGAN - BEST TEAM-BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME
by Aavisek Choudhury on Apr 17, 2009 12:31 AM  | Hide replies

Sorry to millions of supporters of Bagan that the loss with Churchil Brothers in the 2nd league was the turning point of the league. Otherwise bagan was the better team than Churchill. Thousands of supporters of Bagan were hopeful that MD. Sporting will do something to stop Churchil but unfortunately they can't able to stop them. Listening the result over mobile in New Delhi Bagan players also lost all hope and lost the match with Mahindra United. Somebody telling the Churchill Md. Sporting match was gotup, may be but who cares now.

My dear Bengal fan, don't try to use if and but. If Churchil have not drawn 7 matches then Churchil should not have to wait for the last match. In regard to M. Began they have drawn only 4 and lost 5. In case of Churchil lost 2 and drawn 7. So next time don't try use if and but. In 90's Bengal was the king of football but at present Goan team is the top and that is also family team i.e. Churchill that is also one of the record.

Saurav you are gloryfing the past. The present of the Indian football belongs to Goa. That is a bitter truth you have to accept. For the growth of football in our country it is better a healthy rivalary beteween all football power houses.
Let us hope teams from W.Bengal fair better next time

anjan da. 4 goan teams and 4 bengal teams in the fray and one goan and one old cal legend going down. golden days of bengal over??? by my calculation we are even or is my math just so bad...and chirag united. its not even a 'family' team as goans put it. 8 years back it was in the calcutta 3rd division as everready. pretty good, huh?

Sorry Aavisek! tell Bagan not to lean on someone else(telling MS to win against CB) to win the cup as they have done this time and again before- taking the help of refrees and big bosses of AIFF

Hearty Congratulations for Churchill Bros for winning the League!!!
And congratulations in particular to Churchill Alemao for running the club in times like these...Many clubs before have folded but Churchill has kept the flame going and today it has become a burning inferno......They finally reached the summit and can safely be called the powerhouse in Indian football today.
Only wish that there were more Indians in the top scorers charts as this will also help the national team make progress and earn our rightful place in international football which is way above where we are languishing right now...No disrespect to the foreign players who ply their trade here though...they have made football much more exciting and are one of the few reasons why people go and watch football these days.......Cheers to Churchill once again!!!!!

I would like to congratuate Churchill Bros for their success. The Goan team's have been winning a lot of hardware for the last few years. Being a Goan myself I am proud of this achievement. The Corporate house and Adminstrator of football are doing a great job and deserve to be appreciate for their efforts.

However I would like to see some of the teams from other state(Calcutta,Punjab,Mumbai,Kerala,Manipur) win some trophies in the interest of national football.
