For ManU and Liverpool - CL 2009 is over
by S Dutta on Apr 09, 2009 09:20 PM  | Hide replies

Two away goals by Porto and three by Chelsea are difficult to overcome. This year is over for both ManU and Liverpool.

The arrogance bit them.

This year's CL winner is Chelsea. It's a foregone conclusion now.

Rome is going to be be Blue soon.

Gutted…..but gotta give credit where it's due, immense performance from Chelsea.. excellent to be honest…blues were better in everyway.. very well organised, and didn't give the reds a minute on the ball....Chelsea played their best game of the season…anyways scousers will be back with a bang....

If ManU have Macheda, then Chelsea have Ivanovic....Bornislav's 2 headed goal reminds me of Zidane's strike at WC-1998 which sinked Brazil.....Wow what a performance by Chelsea fifth SF berth in six attempt that to beating Reds at Anfield their best ever win.....now they'll sure to meet Barca in SF and that will be a cracker....go CHELSEA go.

by hariharan s on Apr 09, 2009 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

Barca will now face Chelsea in the semifinal and more likely to face Arsenal in the final........they're in lightning form...this year....we'll destroy all English teams and will once again show the world that La Liga is more stylish and superior to EPL.....

anyway Chelsea did a brilliant job yesterday....!!!!!! Essien was d real star of d game blocking d gerrard-torres channel, but noone's giving him credit.....
The scousers will always walk alone!!!!!alone!!!!!!alone!!!!!!!

well

count urself lucky to hav won the 2006 final whn lehman was unjustifying sent off.

and do remember, no team plays proper attacking football against arsenal and win.

and barca are the weakest in the remaing teams to defend setplays and chelsea are the best in exploiting it.

so dont giv forgone conclusions at this stage and any team can still win it.

la liga is certainly stylish, but not superior to epl. else we w'd hav had more teams from la liga in the quaters than epl.

wrong title by rediff it was always on cards as u never know when 2 top teams clash and i think EPL is far better than la liga we saw how liverpool crush madrid madrid didnt offer any resistance and that was totally one sided match for liverpool and u can clearly see when chelsea cmes its helathy competition for liverpool rather its goin to be chelsea who wil go to nxt round coz liverpool has concede all imp 3 away goals and moreover 2 goals diff on agreegate i think thr wil b 3 EPL teams and barcelona in semis

Hey Bro, i hope u saw the 2006 final, lehmann fouled and it was a direct goal you dont have an option but to go off there is no justification required. Anyways i dont think there is any team in EPL who play attacking football. Of all the teams in EPL i like Arsenal, they play a game which is closest to so called Total football, may the best team win.

well i strongly disagree ganesh, lehman did not foul him. just check the utube video, eto tumbled over and is a diver legend.

ur wrong again.

Arsenal is an atttacking team probably only 2nd best to barca in terms of attacking football and intricate passing. gooners hav had so many injuries in the past 3 years with their forwards and attacking midfeild.

if moanu, chavs or puds were to hav the same type of injuries, beleive me theyt w'd nt even hav made 4th.

well arsenal always had the option of buying in new players...
if they couldn't why blame injuries when they clearly can afford to buy the best players in the business

seems u hav gr8 knowledge of football economics.

the only team which runs on a profit and managable debts coz of emirates construction are arsenal in the top four.

manu more than i bbillion gbp in debt,
chavs around 900 million, pool at 700 million. arsenal are at 300 million(due to emirates construction and highbury development square investment)
