Unfortuanely for this country of 1.15 billion people, no TV channel is broadcasting the live matches. The sports channel have ample resources and time to show cricket matches happenning in other country where India has no representation, but they have no time to show other sports, including our National Game, where Indian team is doing good.
The Cricket savvy media is killing sport in India.

Worst part of Indian sport is that Cricket mad TV channels (including the state owned DD) do not bother to show Indian shining in any other sport.
There can't be a bigger shame for Indian Govt and Indian Media. Azlan Shah Cup is one of the most prestigious hockey tournaments in the world. And they are singing gaga over a two-side series just concluded with the weakest cricket team.

Praying to the God (Allah) for the success of Indian hockey team is needed as only God's blessing can save our National sport. Many thanks to Mr Zubeir Khan praying the God for his blessings.

Pakistan ppl are telling GOD to help them to win and Malysian ppl are doing the same. You guys are confusing GOD !!! hehehehehe
With the win over Malaysia, India seems to have found the momentum...its important that we keep it up in our match with New Zealand today and against Pakistan in a day or two...we have the potential, no doubt about that....please go on and win the Cup for us boys.
It is sad to see that this news doesn't appearing on main page, if it is cricket even Mr. Dhoni sneeze that vl be the headline on front page, but this is a hockey win mind u malasia is a very good hockey team, but no newspaper, tv, etc. vl show them as thier main news, its sad very sad, i m not against cricket which is even my favourate game, but other sports also deserve to me shown or written, your suggestion is welcome fellow reader. Thanks Sohan jha

well said prateek, i.e. the main problem with other sports in india, India was loosing in cricket from every team, but still it was headline, plz rememebr in hockey india is ranked 7th out of 30 countries which play hockey seriously, which is not with cricket where only 5-6 good teams.

India has only 2 cricket tournaments in the 4 years(please exclude bi-lateral matches).India has won Asia Cup hockey and has been runners up in many tournaments they played in the last one year.
Only a damn fool on this earth can demean Indian hockey team's performamce.
This article says the present position of India as third in the table...but India are second. Both Ind and NZ have eaual points (4) but India have better goal difference as of now.

Hello Dr. Cajetan Coelho,
I think you are the one of those rare person who keeps on encouraging no matter whats the topic is and write always ve comments. Please write more comments :P, we will look forward for it.
Guys nothing but winning this tourney should be youe goal........Please dont let us down this time.......We need this victory to show the world we are back...... Jai Hind
I saw the recording of the pak-malay match and am still surprised at the result, pakistan sticked the malaysian down right, had more attacks on the malay goal keeper finishing was the problem whereas the Malays did finish better then pakistan. But needless to say pakistan is in thick soup....and needs to win outright.
