Hamilton is a cheat and a controversial driver. just look at Kimi. I am not saying that he is the best racer around but he has never had any controversies in his whole career. Even that stupid kid Massa has had a stupid fight with Fernando Alonso when alonso overtook him by fair means. Not to mention other controversial drivers like Schumacher, Coulthard and Montoya. Even Hakkinen was a fair driver.

what other option did he have ? he is still a cheat. you cannot justify cheating by blaming someone else. in fact the FIA is expected to come out with a harsher sentence and he will be lucky not to be disqualified for the season.
Hamilton, of course, the simpleton always obeys instructions, however unethical or illegal they might be? Who do McLaren think they are fooling? Maybe it is the team's strategy to deflect the blame from Hamilton & onto Ryan so that they can allow Hamilton to keep driving instead of being reprimanded further by suspension
Hamilton should be banned from racing for 1 year (For the first time, some consolation of admitting that he lied). and should be warnned to be honest when he comes back. Even If he wins 8 formula one world championships to break schumacher's record, this lie will not allow him to become all-time great, if he himself not imposes self-ban on him, by not racing for this year.
