Lousy judgement

I guess the new element was that the stewards realized that McLaren is not Ferrari.
After 5 days coming up with us weird judgement. Lewis drove like a champ from 18th to 4th. He should have been left in 4th.

Congratulations Force India!!

While this should be a hard pill to swallow for the Hamilton and McLaren fans what a sweet news this should be for Mallya's team?

Hamilton disqualified means Sutil would move a place up to 8th from the earlier ninth and would get a point which in turn should be FI's first point ever.

It's a bit shame that rediff could not write about this.

how can FI will get a point when
Toyota's [Images] Italian Jarno Trulli [Images], who had been handed a 25 second penalty and demoted to 12th place at a post-race hearing for overtaking Hamilton during the second safety car period, was reinstated in third.

Harish I don't think Force India will get a point. Trulli moved from 12th position to 3rd vacated by Hamilton. Read the article carefully. So rest of the sequence remain same.

Even(for argument's sake) if FI gets a point, do you think it's something to rejoice??? Especially after looking at their dismal performance last year.

Dutta - Thanks for pointing out. Mu bad, jumped the gun bit too early in excitement thinking that FI has got it's first point.

But, I really don't think FI deserves that much criticism from you or anyone. Agree their last season is dismal. But, they have really shown some great hopes finishing both the races in the first race of this season and finishing one and three places short of earning a point is really not that bad a effort.

I sincerely hope and wish them to earn few points this season.

I think Sutil would move up. Trulli was classified 3rd and Hamilton 4th in the Aus GP. So if Hamilton loses the position, the Sutil should move one up. Sutil deserves it though. The Monaco GP in which Kimi jeapordized Sutil's podium is still vivid in my memory.

Totally wrong Gautam.

Were did you read/see on TV that 'Trulli was classified as 3rd and Hamilton 4th'???

Had that been the case then what do you mean by 'Hamilton losing podium' as the article says?

The podium was 1-2 for Brawn and 3rd for Mclaren(i.e. Hamilton).Period

Trulli moves in from 12th to 3rd. Now get that.

Don't twist and complicate.

Gautam,

enough of you yaar!

Never compare Ferrari and Force India and Kimi with Sutil.

F1 is not one night stand. You need to know several things to comment.

1. Sutil was not heading for podium at Monaco. He was at 4th and likely to loose some place because of slow FI.

2. Sutil over 2 cars under yellow flag and 25 sec penalty was waiting for him. So, even if had finished at 4th, he would have demoted to 12th position. Since, he was kicked out, he was just reprimanded by stewards.

3. A wise driver (in a slower car) would have let a world champion driving a super car to over take him and be happy with 5th position, considering no penalty.

4. Kimi was not punished, as it was not his fault. He lost the control in wet sloppy conditions and also he lost valuable championship points.

If you don't know the intricacies of F1, please don't comment.

Moreover, no need to be patriotic about Force India. After all, it is a british team with 50% Indian owner. Nothing Indian about it. The entire team is made of foreigners.

Truly shocking! Where has all the Sporting Spirit gone? To Win at any cost seems to be the Motto of most Sportspersons today.
