FIRST GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER
by rumwhisky on Apr 01, 2009 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

This tennis association is a dead organisation, any tennis player in India who has shined has done so only on their own merit, be it Sania/mahesh/leander all had to shell out money for their own training, and now this tennis president is barking, and what is the importance of commanwealth, in that case we have better chance in SAARC meet to, this cheap mentality is the cause think big, try to get olympic gold or the Davis Cup, not these stupid events, get some young boys/girls and train them for the future Indian stars, but mostly these boards, pocket the money that is alloted to the developement and then get ruined see whats going on in Atheletics, and the main gainer in IOC is Suresh Kalmadi, has made enough HARM KA PAISA

I agree w.u, evn bhupathi has strted a tennis academy nd its mainly b.c of him the young tennis players atleast hav the right foundation to start. Don't know abt the tennis players future since bhupathi is first a player thn a coach, nd he must be busy to maintain his own consitency in winning. Thts why sania mirza is bein sent to foreign coaches nd camps frequently. Also you hav somdev who had more experience thn sania in terms of spendin 4yrs at the training camp in u.s

In ESPN magazine in u.s somdev ws mentioned as the best college tennis player in the country nd nice to know tht he is appreciated there. College sports is as big as professional sports in u.s nd somdev beatin carlos moya wud be big hope fr u.s tennis.

Fortuntly he is playin fr india nd bt he has to train u.s continously, since indian tennis nd evn trainin givn by bhupathi is not enough fr the long run fr this guy.

Its also sad tht bhupathi is the founder of mittal trust who funds the current olympic champions, nd also he manages a sport management company. No wondr bhupathi has stopped winning evr since he startd doin the job of wht the indian tennis federation ar suppsd to do.
