F1 goes where there is money for the taking...the art of true blue racing is lost..what remains is what we have to make do with. Pretty sure that he would not saying the same things if Ferrari wins a street race in New Delhi in 2010..if it happens?! Its all about the money, honey!!
Street races are very processional and passing is all but impossible. The only excitement is when the Safety Car is deployed and the race becomes a lottery. Alonzo was the benifactor of this in Singapore. Not real racing. We need more circuits like Spa for true racing.
Luca di Montezemolo is really unreasonable. he didnt say anything when massa qualified in pole position. why is he speaking up only now when ferrari didnt gain any points in the race? it's so obvious that he is trying to push the blame to the circuit when it was just a bad day for his team. the mechanics made a mistake by pushing the button too soon and sadly kimi couldnt control his car and crashed. everyone makes mistakes and he should just accept it and move on and work towards improving for the next race. i am disappointed that he said such a thing. definitely changed my opinion about ferrari. it's not nice to hear someome say something bad about something my country has been planning and working so hard for. nevertheless, i am still a firm supporter of kimi raikkonen and ferrari! hope they can clinch the constructors title. :)
Streets are not where f1 cars should run. Street tracks are more a marketing gimmick that attracts good money to the sport. Tracks like monaco are just there so that f1 can get money. From technology and racing point of view street tracks are duds. I would love to watch a race on a race track anyday rather than a street track.
This is an absolute sissy statement from the Ferrari chief. If he thinks the track was for circus then why he let his cars race on it? He should have kept them out. Just a loser cribbing out of frustation of losing. It was one of the best tracks I have ever enjoyed. It truly got the best out of the drivers. Massa lost becoz ferrari's pit crew screwed up. Kimi lost since he could not hold his car and crashed. If you cannot handle the track it is your problem, not the tracks. Jerk.
Montezemolo seems to be a bad loser. It was certainly not a circus track, even though he may say so NOW. Their team bungled and he is blaming every one else for it. The fuel hose still connected to the car that was running away could have started a big fire, but fortunately did not. Instead of accepting his team defeat gracefully, he is crying sour grapes.
