I-League Vs EPL
by Shovon Chakraborty on Sep 29, 2008 02:38 PM

I saw the Dempo-JCT match in the I-League followed by EPL match involving Portsmouth and Spurs. Let us not talk about the quality of the footballers. Just a gaze at the facilities will make you understand why we are at the bottom. When we have lush green outfields in the cricket fields, just look at the stadiums at Barasat, Goa, Mumbai etc. Its appalling to see that the AIFF head honchos not interested in developing the infrastructure for the game. The thought that this years I-league champions will play in the next year's Asian Champions League, gives me shivers. Probably even the football god cannot save us from the rule of Priya, Colaco and their ilk.

Watched it till late last night. Hull city won against all odds. Good blow to Arsene Wenger's overconfidence. This will definitely add spice to the race for premiership title.

Hull City were great in confidence. Their confidence showed that. Arsenal were not upto their moves. Believe me, I just watch Arsenal matches for their amazing pass and moves. But, I suppose Arsenal players were waiting for a party from Arsene Wenger. Now, I can just imagine the crackers that must have been busted by Arsene on his players.
