Some drivers, like Coulthard, have experience of night racing from competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Others, such as Ferrari's fun-loving world champion Kimi Raikkonen, are confirmed night owls.
"I guess Kimi should be on form," joked Red Bull's technical director Adrian Newey, who worked with the Finn at McLaren. "He's used to performing when it's dark."
F1 in S'pore just like that....India still struggling for F1,Olympics etc .Reason Lee Kuan Yiew first PM of Independent S'pore which got Independence from British/Malaysia in the 60's..Had a fantastic vision ruled the country with "carrot & stick"method...strict rules..Jawarharlal Nehru/Indira Gandhi no vision blurred by socialism/corruption & so took India so long to become a "Developing Nation" with povertr/corruption/terrorism..So why shud we celebrate the birthdays etc of these leaders???? Shame on us
Singapore F1 night-racing will be challenge for the lighting engineers and also the F1 race-drivers,both in terms of aclimatising as well as night racing which will be definitely different as chalk from cheese when comparing well illuminated race-track at night from the one at daylight. It will be surely an adrenalin pumping maybe risky & daring show for all show-casing the skills of likes of primarily Kimi,Massa,Hamilton & other lesser racing-mortals which may throw up some surprise amidst nerve-wracking suspense!!!
