i was talking about ramanathan krishnan being the only top athlete india have produced in a globally popular sport but he was ranked no 3 in the unofficial rankings and his highest ranking and best show in slams came before the era in the time when all the best players in the world turned pros rod laver for eg, not only missed 21 slams in a row bang before the start of the open era but also was not allowd to play in many slams in the open era coz he was a contracted pro he would have easily won more than 20 slams and unlike sampras - borg - federer, laver was a super genius in all of the four slams which is the reason why he is easily the goat meaning greatest of all time.
Paes and Bhupathi continue to serve India with dedication and distinction. Congrats to the duo for giving the team a fresh lease of life against a very competent side from Romania, the land of the great Ilie Nastase of the bygone era.
We are billion people; yet, we cannot produce one single tennis champion. Many East European countries are smaller, yet they produce great champions. What do you think is the reason?

dude the reply is infrastructure !!! our players dont bet the facilities to train in ...
Hi All, Paes and Bhupati are the old indian foxes. I think that both of them should play the reverse singles. Well done guys. gurmukh singh mohali now in sydney
It is highly impropable for a tennis team to score rubber in a Davis Cup tie if the singles players are not in the top rung. The World Class doubles players can only give hope, to hope agianst hope.

It is better Lee plays one reverse singles.Atleast we all know he will give the best shot like last time.
All the Olympic players were saying that they didn't get enough support and money from govt. Now take those games which have got enough money and media support as well. Like Cricket and Tennis have got enough money and media support as well but where are we now in both the games. Still we are struggling to clear first round in any of tennis tournament. And since 1983 we haven't won a world cup. And the way Anju Bobby George was disqualified shows lack of commitment. To clear the jump line doesn't need money that is basic. So the conclusion is that it's players confidence which matters most not the money.

Idiots Anju won a bronze medal in world athletics championship, She never again jumped the length she did on that event. She got that performance in to her head and even insulted the greats like Milka Singh and PT Usha by saying she never got inspiration from them. Her arrogance made her a failure. Some people easily get that arrogance with success and the media hype.

If she was injured, she should have opted out. Not give a bad name to the nation. Once they get a bit of publicity, they only work for money.
