nice review benny peter
by RK on Sep 19, 2008 09:03 PM  | Hide replies

first of all i find it quite funny that chelsea has fans in india.. most probably it has to be the glory hunters who shifted loyalty after romans arrival..

not met more than 2 ppl in india who' ve been fans of chelsea from the time of gianluca vialli or gianfranco zola

quite an excellent review.. chelsea goin gr8 guns.. manu kinda tottering.. manu's main problem is defense and not attack...

the defensive tactics of manu were run by carlos quiroz who left to become the national coach.. manus attack will click sooner rather than later.. but it remains to be seen if the defensive stability can be bought back... gary neville is way past his prime.. and wes browns very poor at right back..

chelsea is playin quite good... most probably w'd win.. i d rather wish manu wins it coz atleast on feild and the way its run. manu are a better club, same so for the brand of attacking football...

viva la gunners

i find it strange dude..

i grew up in a footballing enviornment and been supporting the gunners ever since bergkamp arrival..

rarely i hav i met a chelsea fan...
dont think u need to stress using the f word.. maybe that instilled in u from the muorinho school of vocabularly, using unedptly and unwantedly..

chelsea might be a club now.. now but even in london chelsea r no big a club than charlton or qpr!!! after all u bought sucess

Manutd will win!!!!
by Prashant Shetty on Sep 19, 2008 04:35 PM  | Hide replies

Manutd are going to come strongly back to thier form after thier defeat at anfield.. This time the trio of rooney/tevez/berbatov will click with the boost of ronaldo's arrival... Wait n watch... Match result would be Manutd 2 - Chelsea 1.

GRANDSLAM WEEKEND !!!
by Benny Peter on Sep 19, 2008 02:23 PM  | Hide replies

I have seen all the Chelsea's match so far in the season. If we look the way Blues played, except wigan away (0-1 win) & Spurs home (1-1 draw) remaining 3 matches are excellent.( 4-0 against Pompery, 3-1 against Arab united, and 4-0 in CL against Bordeaux. Especially the midfield. Deco, Lampard & Joe combination already kicked off well. Defensive lineup is world class with addition of Bosigwa. Terry cleared for the match this weekend. Ballack (& moslty Dider) will b in the starting line up. Although we are missing Essien, Mikel is in good form now. Big Phil doesn't have any problem in fielding the starting line up as most of them are auto choice (i doubt with Anelka after Bordeaux match). Moreover Chelsea never lost a match in the bridge in the last 4 years.

On the other hand Ronaldo just arrived and only a match old in this season. Rooney and Bernabov combination yet to find the net. Only threat is from Tevez although he doesn’t have much support. Scholes & Giggs aren't in form. (Recent CL home match against Villarreal is a classic example).A big blow in defensive with Vidic's suspension, this may put extra pressure on Ferdinand & even Van der ser. Even Last weekend at Anifield, Manu was totally defensive, especially after Gerrad's arrival in the pitch. Although these are early stages of the season, but definitely not a way to start for chasing the title.

No doubt a great weekend treat is waiting, & the final score line reads 2-0 Chelsea !!!

exellent analysis.. I Think execpt Anelka everyone firing in for Chelsea not sure whether Anelka should make way for drogba as drogba not played upto his reputation in the last EPL game he might not recovered fully from injury. In this case kalou can be a good starting option. anway Chelsea is going to win that is for sure....

My personal opinion is, Anelka best suits for 1-4-5, the most offensive lineup (Mourinou's fav, Big Phil may use for cup competions). Since Drogba just recovered from operation, Kalou might b a good choice for staring line up with the later in the bench. let us c, how the big boss going to field...
