its good move even ban cricket team or no entry for pak nationals , End of the day these ppl will create havoc in there own country and gov will be under pressure to be in good terms with rest of world, best way to fight war without weapons.

What is the point of doing this. India is setting a wrong example of mixing politics with sports.
Do they have guts to deny visa to pakistani cricket team?

i agree with you as sports should not be mixed with politics. Ultimately what will happen the miscreant will take this oppurtunity to watch the match, and use this as an oppurtunity to do damages.

we dont need them , they need us and where ever they need us cuttoff , best way to teach them leasson and who knows once we ban every single pak national then gov will be under serious pressure to get in good terms with india.

One way they say dont mix sports or personal into politics but we have no choice and best way to hit them.

wat crap, sports and politics shud never be mixed. this way the govt. just want to save its face and its poor show in stopping terror. this will act as a populist decision with ppl like u nd u will again vote for them, the real cause is their sheer negligence and coffer filling attitude

You have a valid point there. Yes, these are populist measures just to hoodwink the public. What we need is a strong internal security that will foil the evil designs of our enemy. Sports and politics should not be mixed.

will this help ?
by lion king on Sep 18, 2008 02:48 PM  | Hide replies

What is the point in stoping hockey, whereas cricketers are allowed ?

preferentially sports should be kept out of politics. If that is not possible, atleast all sports should be treated on an equal basis.

I do remember the fight on the field. However that cannot be a reason for not issuing visas.

This decision is most probably related to the recent bomb blasts, and the public opinion againts ISI/Pakistan. I am absolutely fine with that, but all sports should be treated equally.
