Bad mouth Lewis!
by Sudhindra C Adiga on Sep 12, 2008 06:28 PM

One thing about Ferrari drivers, they speak gently. Ferrari were really considering Fernando or Lewis after Kimi’s retirement. But with their bad mouth, Ferrari will look out for someone else. Look at Fernando, where he is now, struggling and fighting for 4th, 5th or 6th place. Lewis will land in the same situation, if he continues to talk like this.

Actually the stewards should have debarred him and not awarded points for his foul play of overtaking and blocking Kimi. Because of his
wrong way of overtaking Kimi skidded.

The problem with LH...
by Rupinder Singh on Sep 12, 2008 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

...is that he talks more with his mouth than with his car. For those who think LH is a great driver, maybe he is, but I think he is a good driver in a great car getting preferential treatment. I consider Kubica, Webber to be better than him, if only they had the car...

Now for the 'Chicanegate', point 1, he DID cut the chicane. Point 2, had there been a wall instead of a run off area, he would have been OUT of the race. Point 3, he DID NOT give RK the advantage he gained. Point 4, for those thinking that FIA favor Ferrari, FIA could have simply taken Hamilton out of the race. Why only demote him 25 seconds? I mean if you have to favor Ferrari, why not go the whole hog?

Back to his foot in the mouth syndrome. Last year, he was railing about 'unfair' Alonso, when LH started the whole thing (whining at Monaco, holding up Alonso in Hungary) that led to McLaren being thrown out of the championship. This year too, he said Massa was inferior, only for Massa to trounce him in Hungary (well almost) and Valencia. And now he has taken on Kimi, and oh, he compared himself to Schumi also. Clearly arrogance at its peak.

LH may win the championship and he may well be the British sports mascot, but I wonder whether that would make him as popular as Schumi.

But I don't think it matters to him. He is the darling of the British media, and the British media are only too happy to comply. Well good luck to them and their poster boy.

PS: Rediff, please do something about the word limit...

Hamilton's Comments
by Balakrishnan Ravindran on Sep 12, 2008 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

looks like hamilton is day dreaming a lot these days. he couldn't digest the punishment handed out to him & the only way to give way to his frustration is bad mouthing. he doesn't deserve the championship. massa needs all support from kimi to take his first title.

all the best ferrari. show maclarens the door out.

Boss, be real. It was obvious that the Punishment was uncalled for. I like Ferraris too, but this was unfair to Hamilton who I think was the DRIVER of the day

Hamilton's statement "That's his driving. That's the way he drives. If you don't have the balls to brake late, that's your problem" - sheer attitude and arrogance.

That is not attitude or arrogance. Its plain bitterness coming out due to the injustice he receieved frm the race stewards.

What rubbish injustice. I think the stewards have been partial to him in a way or two. He's lucky to go scott free. I think he should have been given a drive through penalty.

Of course he got drive through penalty. But, by that time, the race was almost over and no scope for that. Later, it was converted to 25 sec penalty and LH was lucky to get 6 points.

hamilton has a short memory. He forgot that it was he who crashed kimi fm behind in pit lane which kimi was going to win. but kimi didnt make a news out of it. First & foremost F1 is a more respected & glam sport. Ppl like it cos of the passion they show on race track & not off track.

He is more of a motormouth than anything else, suffering from foot-in-mouth disease.
