The Stewards can't be partial!
by Sushant on Sep 10, 2008 10:47 AM  | Hide replies

In a similar case including Massa, the stewards just imposed a heavy Fine on Massa and left.
If Massa got monetory punishment, why a different treatment for Lewis..???
Rules cannot be different for Different players....
Stewards should return Lewis his Pole finish and also his 10 pointer!

another johny come lately trying to comment on a sport he has no idea on. There was nothing similar between massa incident and hamilton incident, so there is no cmparison.

I fell down laughing on reading this "Stewards should return Lewis his Pole finish"

The stewards are always harsher towards Mclaren and favour Ferrari. This is not good for F1.

Lewis gained advantage
by Sudhindra C Adiga on Sep 10, 2008 10:23 AM

Lewis gained advantage by cutting chicane. Everyone saw how rapidly he passed. There is no way he could gain such a speed immediately, if he allowed Kimi to pass. Decision was right. No doubt lewis is good driver, but has same attitude as Alonso.

Hamilton was wrong
by anindya dasgupta on Sep 10, 2008 09:56 AM

Hamilton was crooked to cut into kimi's way after moving out into the chicane. In this way, he was impeding kimi's concentration, especially when the track was so slipppery. Naturally, the first instinct would be to save your car and the concentration would falter. The penalty serves Hamilton right.

Not good sport
by Sanjay Sharma on Sep 10, 2008 09:36 AM

My observation is:-
Lewis backed up but not sufficiently & till the start finish line, he was side by side Kimi, NOT totally behind as he was before cutting short the chicane. At this point, he was already in an advantageous position.
Stewrdas MUST have the same observation as far as gaining advantage is concerned.
By the way how would you rate Lewis when he was disobeying the team orders last year.
Kimi has always been gracious, in winning & MORE importantly in (ill fated) losses.

Best overtaking move of the Season
by SUBHASIS DATTA on Sep 10, 2008 01:30 AM  | Hide replies

It seems every sports now needs a masala added to be in the highlight. Hamiltons move was one of the est overtakes, reminds me of Hakkinen and Schumi race. Kimi infact tried his best at that corner to avoid Hamilton to pass thru and there was every possibility of collision. Please dont deprieve Hamilton of his credibility in making suh an astonishing overtake hardly seen these days.

joker, you have no idea. like someone said, stick to cricket. lewis allowed him to pass, and then turned to kimi's rear, used his slipstream to gain accelaration, which would have deaccelerated kimi, and then overtook. the position was unfair. if lewis would have followed the track, he would not have got such a good position to overtake.

Somebody nobody

yeah please give some bonus points to that LOOSE HAMILTON ...he cut that bus chicane and got so near to kimi on the final straight and then allowed him to inch a few centimeters ahead and then overtook him. You call this the best overtaking move of the season...nonsense, he should have been given a harsher penalty and that too when the race was on. This would have encouraged other driver to push move and Hamilton would nopt even have made it to third. I hope what happened to kimi happens to Hamilton in the most crucial part of the season.
