Remember the Kamsky episode.....
by BHASKARAN GANESHAN on Oct 28, 2008 05:16 PM  | Hide replies

He cracked under pressure against Kamsky in Hyderabad. I am sure he has grown and is a wise player now. Loosing a match against a quality opponent for the world title is a part of build up for a good climax. I am sure this will not rattle him. As for kramnik he is growing in confidence as the level of confidence in Anand has just taken a u turn. Well Anand in desperation should not try anything adventurous and just try to play a solid game.

Viswanathan Anand [Images] suffered a setback as he was beaten in the tenth game of the 12-game World Chess Championship final, where challenger Vladimir Kramnik [Images], playing with white pieces, fought his way back into the match with a 29-move win.

The victory enabled Kramnik cut Anand's lead to 6-4.

Anand still needs only a draw in one of the two remaining games to emerge champion again.

Kramnik needs to win both the 11th and 12th games to force a tie-breaker in the title match.

The Russian stayed alive in the match as he struck back by cracking through Anand's defence in 29 moves from a Nimzo Indian defence. It was Kramnik's first win after three losses and six draws in previous nine games.

Anand, who led 6-3 after nine games, faltered as the Russian finally seemed to have found his form.

In the 10th game, which Anand needed just to draw to emerge champion, Kramnik adopted an aggressive

he's not played well in the last two games!
by yash wardhan on Oct 28, 2008 01:47 PM

even in the last game anand was under a lot of pressure from kramnik..it was desperate defending that saved him..but now he has started adopting conventional lines of play..and playing to draw..which is enimical to the fresh and unconventional way he played in the first five six games!! buck up anand..bring it home in style!!

Nau Tankey
by Bharat Bhushan on Oct 28, 2008 01:33 PM

Your name clearly suggests your limited mental outlook. 32 individual pieces, each with a different value and movement, 64 squares-32 black, 32 white. Three possibilities, a win, a draw and a stalemate. Theoretically,
nau tankey, if every man, woman and child were to play chess continuously
for a million years, perhaps, then, every possible game-combination of chess could be exhausted.
