A call to encourage Indian sports
by nisha thoas on Oct 23, 2008 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

Its so sad to see people in India support foreign clubs and forming fan clubs when most of cant name 3 players of Indian football team. We are always obsessed with western culurt. WHo cares about manchester united and liverpool etc in India? WHat have they done for the country? Atleast lets rejoice tendulkar breaking world records and Indian pace attack blowing away Aussies instead of supporting unknown clubs

it is because of people like nisha, that India can't do well in any other sport than cricket..what does UEFA champion's league got to do with Sachin Tendulkar..With all respect to the great batsman, there are some people in India who dont like to follow cricket..whats wrong with that ?

i dont have to rmbr i have followed Bhaichung since he was 16 and came to Kolkata as a football genius, there are very few in asia to match his skills even in local matches he used to dazzle with some gifted skills such as the bicycle kick

Man Utd and Liverpool are "unknown" clubs? That says a lot about your knowledge of football. Now be a good girl, do your homework, drink your glass of milk and go to bed.

Nisha you seems to have very little knowledge about football, cricket is played by very few nations, Sachin is a class act, none can match his achievements. States like Goa, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab and many other states play football and you ask people from these states and they will surely tell you the names of the players you boast they want know.

Nothing wrong in supporting this so called foreign clubs as they play fast paced football which is very entertaining and they have players from many nations. Next time before you give a general comment think twice. Can you name 5 of our central ministers, now don't Google search.
