This is what EPL has done to everyone. All of you who are less informed know abt the players playing in EPL which generally boasts of European players only. Their South american counterparts play in spain or italy where the level is much better and the glamour is less. england is much like indian cricket team, good on the papers but poor on the field.

Have you ever heard about Louis Fabiano, Diego, Alexandro Pato,Adriano, Anderson and Daniel Alves? If you don't know then watch SerieA and Preimiera Liga.U'll know.
Brazil indeed is class apart and so their expectations are also high.
It is indeed shocking that the team do not manage to win against petty teams who just sit there and block opponents.
Brazil ahve lost their style of play and have inheritted Italian football of counter attack thanks to most of their players in Italian club duty.
As a result( correct me if I am wrong) Brazil score heavily against teams which try to attack and Brazil scores in counter attack, but fail against teams who just sit back and wait for Brazil to create chances.
