India may have finished 16th, but the best chess player in the world is an INDIAN. Apparently, Anand couldn't play the Olympiad. But had he played, INDIA would've been amongst the top 5. Notably, Humpy also didnt play and this significantly reduces India's chances in the women's section.

Just Anand playing doesn't guarantee anything. In the last year olympiad Anand played and we finished 30 starting as the second seeds. This is a very good performance from the other members of our team. Lets build a good team and bring back Anand for the next olympiad and aim for the Gold. I loved the game Sasikiran played against Kramnik. After the opening sasi was in a bad position and to convert that into a winning position against the challenger to the world champion is not a mean achievement. Hats of Sasi for that game!!!
