The year that was

2008 has been very tough on players. The whole schedule was disturbed by the Olympics, which meant longer travells and shorter breaks. This season, which demanded supreme fitness from the players has separated the men from the boys.
Rafael Nadal with his superior atheleticism came out at the top, and all others were left far behind. And even Nadal had to pull out of the year ending tournaments because of injury. This season did not only witness Federer's fall from the Top, it also witnessed his pulling out of a tournament mid way for the first time. And now, Rodick has pulled out from the Shenghai Masters.
It seems the ATP is also behaving like the BCCI; not caring about players, and only thinking about money.
