Enough yaar ! Lets not be so mushy. Anand has been a champion before too. I can not think of any Indian coming even close to him. Also, no one can beat him in speed. I am sure if he had to play Bobby Fischer, he'd have beaten him to a large extent. If Fischer was genius, Anand is a master genius.
Vishi has set a wonderful example of being great yet simple and humble person. There is lot to learn from him for all of us. I remember once Asha Bhosale said...singing is just my profession, everybody tries to utlise fullest potential...so I did and I excelled, however I would like to be remembered first as a good, simple and humble person than a good singer.

OR CORPORATES ARE SUPPORTING SUCH A NICE GAME. RURAL INDIA DOES NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE GAME ONCE IT IS POPULARISED, MORE GENIUS PLAYERS MAY SURFACE.

Your wailing is amply justified friend. But remember the fact - Chess is a Brain Game (BUDDHI BAL in Indian Terms or BRAIN POWER). That is exactly what our DUMB Govt, Corporate, Socialites, Junta etc etc lack. So what else can you expect from them?
Success does not go to Anand's head are the words uttered by the father of Anand,who has just been honoured with the World chess title.May our new upcoming champion's imbibe this same spirit when they are awarded with similar titles. May his tribe increase.
