Great Job and keep it up

and to those asking questions...may be she is tring to ensure her next appearnece is financed by self means...in our cricket crazy nations we do not look for achivements by other sports...Saina is next best to Prakash Padukon and P Gopichand,,,and if work prevail.,..she will be one of the top in coming days....ALL THE BEST

I simply dont get it, why a olympics quater finalist playing in junior category, she is already proving her mettle with the top ranking seniors , it is unfair for others girls who are playing with her and waste of her own time to outclass some girls who dont have a chance against her. I can understand she is age wise still junior but I cannot remember in similar sports ( i am thinking of tennis) any world class champions actually switches to juinor championship while playing grand slams.

Women in tennis do it. I can think of an Australian female athlete who lost in the 2nd round in the main event and then went on to win the junior event. I can't remember her name. But she was very cute.

I will make you remmeber a similar incident from another sports

After Shahid Afridi hit that 37 ball 100, he represented Pak in under-19 WC

Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi all represented their countries in under-21 WC even after they had established their credentials at the senior level (Messi had even played the Senior Copa America and Walcott part of WC team)

There were lot of the girls in this junior world championship who are playing in the senior circuit as well... one girl from indonesia reached 2nd round in the Olympics as well....

Next thing you will say that if she wins Olympics gold she should stop playing badminton altogether as it will be unfair for other players who havent won !

These tournaments give more confidence and instead of practicing its always to be in a good shape by playing World Class tournaments ! Remember she needs to work on her fitness also and the net game which gopichand had mentioned after olympics...

Great News
by desi bhai on Nov 01, 2008 10:05 PM

For the cricket crazy nation, this news may be of little value but its a great great achievement! Never we have seen in badminton both man (Chetan) and woman (Saina) in the top 15 of the world.. In a game which is dominated by Indonesians, Chinese, Koreans, Malyasians and Denmarks...

Kudos to Gopichand and Podukone also for discovering and polishing suck skills... Lets encourage Saina and Sai to win more laurels for the country !!!
