Contrary to what people think,It is not Bhupathi but Paes who is the Offender. Even during the Davis cup,no player wanted Paes as the Team Caotain as he is Autocratic and not a team player. The truth will come out like in Case of hockey when Jyotikumaran eas caughtand KPS GILL was dismissed.

Mr.Raghavan, u are saying Paes is culprit. do you know what happened that day. 04 days before the Davis Cup match against Uzbekhistan, Prakash Amritraj went to a party ( He mentions it as Birthday party) and partied whole night and in the next day he got severe dysentry and omitting. Doctors of the Davis Cup Squad struggled for two days to control dysentry. After this Prakash Amritraj was too weak even to come for practise. Then Captain Paes decided to drop him for the first day of the match so that he can racapture his strength and can play in final day. When media contacted Prakash he said he was fully fit and Paes knowingly dropped him. And Mahesh Bhupathi, taking this opportunity to settle his scores against Leander Paes instigated all of them to revolt. This is not my view this is in the Manager of Indian Davis Cup Team Mr.Naresh Kumar, said in his report to AITA.That is the reason why AITA backing Leander Paes. So Mr.Raghavan before talking anything always try to know the actual truth. Bye.
Both Bhupathi and Paes had past their prime and it's not possible for them to give a stiff competition at this age.There is very little chance for a medal in olympics even if both r playing doubles together.So i think this controversy is meaningless.
Bhupathi is not only a tennis player but also a sports company owner, he has his own business interests and that clash with the interests of the Indian Tennis. I feel all Bhupathi's decisions are guided by his business interests and Leander/Indian Tennis is made to suffer for this. Uptil now I was feeling Bhupathi has some real issues, but now it is clear he want to outshine Leander in all fields (At an age of 33 he cannot better Leander in achievements on the field) so he is trying to humiliate Leander, as well as further his business interest using his sports company as a tool (showing the carrot of promoting the young guns of tennis).
May be some of our friends are right Leander might have ego problem. But what Leander Paes done for the country is remarkable. What we have seen from Leander that, when country's prestige is at stake he pumps up and even beaten top 10 players . Look at his Bronze medal winning performance at Atlanta Olympics or Davis Cup Semi-Final Victory over France in Red Clay court at Paris in which he beat Henri Leconte he is World No.5 at that time or victory over Goran Ivanisek in a Davis Cup match. All these victories are came only when he plays Davis Cup matches. He never took serious interest on his professional carries. This shows his Desh Bhakti. But in Bhupathi's case he came to India from US because there are far better players in US than Bhupathi. And he instigated players revolt against Leander and Bhupathi is responsible for Sania Mirza's withdrawal from Sunfeast Open in Banglore. This Bhupathi could not think that with his anymosity towards Leander he was taking prestige of the country for granted.
So overall Bhupathi had done more harm to country than so called Egoist Paes. It is better that Bhupathi should be sent back to US where he actually belongs, we dont want him in India.

I tend to agree with you, I like Paes. I know Mahesh has issues with Bhupathi but then who dont have with colleagues in all sports,
The underlying issue, I suspect, for all this tennis drama, is who is going to partner Sania Mirza in the Mixed Doubles, given that Paes and Mirza did win gold in the Asian Games
Bhupathi should grow instead of acting like a child. If he wants some practice , why do not he call Leander Paes straight away and discuss. Asking or blaming AITA is like asking the school teacher to mediate in a school fight.
All this whilewhen Bhupathi talks,Paes will keep quiet and then suddenly he will hit out at Bhupathi saying he(Bhupathi) only messed the whole isse.Then AITA will support him and everybody will rhink Bhupathi is ar fault which is not the case. This is gross injustice done to Bhpathi who is fighting a lone battle against AITA. Atleast VIJAT AMRITRAJ should come to his rescue.

yeah ! i follow tennis keenly. And ur right Bhupathi is more American than Indian. He now bent on destroying carrier of Sania Mirza. From the days of his Flag controvery then followed by his boycotting of ATP tournament in India, in all aspects Bhupathi guided Sania Mirza. I think after these incidences Sania Mirza's popularity also goes down.

Hello, let Bhupathi prove himself that, he loves his country. When Leander is ready to pair with him why didn't he. People may have differences but when they are playing for the motherland they should bury it and concentrate on the game. But i dont think Bhupathi ever interested in his motherland.
