If India play with this same aggresiveness and team work, yes there is a chance india will make a come back in Hockey. Great work by our team.

It will take a bit of time and lot of investment before we see our national side turning to a formidable team .... Its Good they have thrown out Mr. KPS Gill. .... We need a good captain who can transform the side, just like Ganguly did to the cricket team .... We also need to see more hockey tournaments at school level and pick good players thereon. .... Whatever be done, do for good of our National Game.
I am hoping the best

National Sports .. National Pride.
by indianfart on May 19, 2008 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

Why we Indians are third class public .. because we don't respect our National things .... Hockey News Gets a place below IPL news.

National Animal is going to get extinct .... In China, You get a capital punishment for killing Pandas.

English mein bolo to pride .... Hindi mein bolo to Maharashtra mein riots start ho jaat hai.

Better go and live in a foreign society, ... than be a part of a society which is careless of National Things.

hello my dear.. why the cricket is most popular and hockey is less.. first you use your useless brain. hockey cannot play by each and every citizen and it is costlier than cricket to play in rural areas and it cannot be played in every places except a plain ground. But cricket is not such a game like hockey.. even on roads, compounds, farms every where our boys or girls are playing cricket. Also it gives entertainment far better than hockey. Everyone knows Hockey is our national game and the government not giving much financial rewards to hockey players as well. It has to be changed and our hockey players should be well paid similar to cricket. So please do not scratch your head mixing with IPL and other extravaganza. 80% of the Indians are font of cricket and you cannot change it. So please shut up your mouth and think sensibly.

then what about football ... it is entertaining more people than cricket .... and cricket too needs plain ground .. never heard of anyone playing cricket on hills ... where do you play cricket ..... allow your useful brain to think more sensibly.

Thats pretty true. But its a bit hard to be heard. The poor players just had their hearts broken for not getting a place in olympics.

We Take our National Sport this way ... Shame on us.

You don't have to react like this. I have n't heard of any hockey league at par with IPL or even ranji trophy.

Hockey needs to be promoted by businesses, people, media and the people.
