Take out Christiano Ronaldo frm Man utd and they will have a drought of goal opportunities. Take out Rooney along with him and they wont even have opportunities and even if the opposition hands them one, they wont have anyone to tap the bloody ball in.... Take out Rio Ferdinand and they will give away goals on a canter.... The fact is - without Ronaldo & Rooney Man utd are just a very dull defensive minded team. But luckily for them Ronaldo has not been kicked over by some mindless defender which has been the case with so many of the top players frm Arsenal & Chelsea in the past two seasons....
This season Chelsea played more than half the season without terry and quite a few games without Drogba.... Arsenal had injuries to Eduardo, Rosicsky, Flamini, Sagna (practically half of their first eleven). Still these teams had the calibre and grit to stay really close to man utd right through the season.
One wonders what would have happend if only Ronaldo had got injured for the Reds...They wouldve struggled to get on score sheets for sure!!!! The fact is that Man utd have won the League two consecutive times largely due to Ronaldos form over the past two seasons....
They have been lucky to have no injuries to any of their major players and therefore all the lullaby man utd supporters here should acknowledge this fact. Just take out Ronaldo frm the equation and Man utd do not stand a chance on May 21..Chelsea meanwhile have enough fire power even without Terry & Drogba!!

Open your eyes and see, ManU are the champions. 10 times in last 16 years. Had it not been Ronaldo, there would have been someone else to make them Win. After all , for how long Ronaldo has been playing for them.3 Years?
They make superstars unlike Chelsea who believe in cheap strategies like buying and lo, this also didn't get them the crown.

dear calvinhobbes, one does not have to spend any time and brains to see & think the obvious!!!! Facts are facts and the past two league titles(not the 8 before that) have been bcoz of Ronaldo & Rooney....If only you read stuff carefully rather than fantacizing about Man utd of ur childhood dayz!!!! Fanatics often cant think objectively and u r no different..... Any unbiased football fan would tell u that Arsenals game was far more entertaining than the boring & defensive man utd (save Ronaldo).....

Man u 4 - arsenal 1 last year 7 - 1 drubbing of roma ...... even if the points tally between man u n chelsea would have same, man u was way ahead of chelsea in goal difference as well as "no. of goals scored" ..... dont hate man u for the sake of hating it ..... !!!! its a clear case of not able to digest the success of the others

well said calvin mate...if a player is injury free is that unfair..any member of the Man U team can find a place in any EPL team...thats how strong they are...1-0 chelsea winning the EPL this season would have been the greatest injustice to the league so far...Bravo Man U make it a double hammer blow and beat them black and BLUES...

how can u say Chelsea have enough power with out Terry and Drogba..we can tell chelsea also a 3 men team. terry, lampard and drogba..when they didn played during the first half of EPL chelsea were at 6 and 7th..just think about that...every team has 2-3 play makers so dont blame MANU..MANU done it well..Glory Glory MANU

But i could give you more reasons against it,Adebayour Goal against Man U handballed , Carrick took ball in chect was given penalty the only one in EPL against Man U. Okay ! Since you raised that issue. In the same match with Arsenal Rooney handballed but no penality to Arsenal. When the ball grazed Gallas non stretched hands a penality for ManU. And the Owen Hargreves goal stemmed from a perfectly clean tackle by Gilberto on Nani who then acted out his part perfectly. Manchester united creates fewer goals than they score with penalities and freekicks. Arsenal on the otherhand has won matches by creating almost everytime. Arsenal has won no game by penalities while ManU has won 8 games based on goals scored only via penalities. I hate seeing ManU matches because of this factor.

Mikel's Red card ManU vs Chelsea, Not giving Second Yellow to Anderson in Arsenal Vs ManU, Foul Against Hleb for the build of first goal of Manu in Arsenal vs ManU. How many times rooney let off in getting second yellow of a match for his blatant fouls and not getting red for lunges where the ball is no where near to him. Red card for Blackburn player in ManU vs Balckburn match, Offside goal for ManU vs Derby , the only goal of the match, There is no foul and giving freekick to Manu in Manu vs Arsenal for the theatrics of Evra. There are so many to mention in favour of ManU and there are many Against Arsenal. If All the refereeing is Unbiased Arsenal Would have been Champion with clear Six point lead. ManU fighting for fourth with Liverpool.

u are absolutely right Mr.Kris....Arsenal should have also been in the champions league semi finals had it not been for the pathetic refereeing over both legs of the quarterfinal against liverpool..... But as they say the game is a great leveller and Man utd will realise that in the coming season when the tables will hopefully turn with the refereeing as well as unlucky injuries.... I am sure if arsenal had a full team available during april when they played their most crucial matches, they would have easily brushed aside the dull defensive man utd & even pathetic liverpool in champs league....

Mithun dont ruse injuries. Manu had almost 50% of squad injured in the 2005/2006. It happens to all the teams. I cant say for sure Manu wont have any injuries next season or the one after that. Anything can happen with regard to injuries.
Dull defense of manutd?? I think you thought it twice before u said that. Barcelona couldn't score against that dull defense. Meanest defence in the primier league and champions league. Dull??? Hmmm. ya jan u r correct..all team will got referees favour..its depends on luck..even manu got it..since manu become the champs the envy people are saying that....Also some seasons MANU got some referee decisions against them..in 2003-2004 champions league pre-quater final agaisnt porto refree disallowed a goal of scholes..bcos of offside flag ..but replays showed that its not offside..bcos of that only united out from CL..so luck amy come and go can't blame abt it
