This is getting extremely embarassing. Rather than looking at the administrators, our problem is more with the skill level, physical fitness level of our players. Our culture is just not conducive to producing world class athletes.
its the result of demotivaion we give to hockey players.. india was doing quiet well for sometime.. it lost just 1 match to dis-qualify for olympic... and whole media and public who dont know abc of sports dont spare players to criticize them and demolarise them...
who r we to criticize them.. whn we dont support then,... whn we dont cheer them whn they win and bring laurels for nation... we have no right to criticize them..
its the bad luchk of these players to born in india like non-sportive nation...
Like I mentioned earlier AK Bansal is good for the junior team and not seniors.The first mistake already done by the new committe is sacking of Joaquim Carvalho and few of the players.You could have added Sandeep Singh in the team and rest be the same.By changing players for every tournament wont help. Wake up guys a 5-1 trashing.I know what the excuse is going to be.
now anyone hv problem with KPS Gill...? indian peoples only like critsicing others....now kps gill is no more the head of IHF, but still india losing mathces......i know team is new....but problems is lies with govt. that govt not provide any facilities to their hockey players....n ministers too make profit of it...

jab tak govt. sports ke leye kuch nhi karegi tab tak chahe gill aye ya kalmadi ya dasmunshi .....sports mein india kuch nhi kar sakta...

these many day atleast our hockey team is doing good at SA shah tournament. now useless fellow suresh kalmadi entered here also to make our hockey team as olympic team aya raja gaya raja

Cricket has finished all other sports in India!
Cricket itself has become a tamasha with IPL and it deserves it!
Why doesn't the media broadcast a sport Indians are really good at - making money or being IT coolies?!
That should be a reality show that can overtake cricket in TV veiwership which is afterall the main and only objective of IPL and other similar tamashas!!
Who the heck watches hockey nowdays? Since long time interest about hockey game in India has been diminishing. Make the game in which we are good a national game, which ofcourse if cricket. Why the most unpouplar thing has to be named as national so and so...?

Mr.George don't make such foolish comments, what we are achieving in Cricket among only handful of nations is also not great. But hockey is at least a universal game almost played by all nations. Cricket is destroying other games in India because its pulling all the endorsements towards it. And more over Cricket is not invented by us unlike hockey. Cricket is a national disaster because one economic survey clearly states when ever there is an one-day match over all productivity get reduced to some extent in India. Give importance to other games and wining medals in Olympic and other major events will enhance a county pride.

sluggish sports like cricket shd never b declared as our national game.. if population of tiger is decreasing that doesnt mean we make pig our national animal.
we shd inprove ourself in sports rather than run away frm sports world and make a sport of 12 nation our nat game.. learn to fight not to run like a looser..
