Although we lost our match against the Kiwis narrowly, we played reasonably well in patches and had it had not been for our poor finishing, we could well have won the match. Sandeep Singh was superb in penalty corner conversion and watching him, one felt sad that he didnt play in the Olympic qualifying matches at Chile. Our young team is inexperienced but has the potential to restore some laurels for the country in this tournament.
Yaar people will now seriuosly start doubting the abilities of the players in the Hockey team. I think they are getting much better priviledges now then the players of the past years and still they are going down to b grade sides. It seems foolish now to expect anything from them.

I agree. A defeat is not defendable, especially against a NZ. but the point is that 3 goals is 'some' solace. I am disappointed, but atleast its a crawl towards a better tomorrow. The change has just started... give the guys some time and a chance. Change doesnt take place overnite.
