Frank Rijkaard did indeed have a bad time accordiung to stats . But barca played the best football in the champions league and both the matches against Man Utd was indeed a treat to watch . Barca outplayed Man Utd for most of the time in both the matches and the only flaw in their game being not able to score . the manner in which they played their game , barca has certainly won my heart among other teams in the champions league

The reason why 2 English teams made is because theEP is WEAK. I repeat. Its WEAK. Take Spanish or Italian leagues. They have to come out and PLAY every week. Whihc in turn results in either suspensions or injuries. Which is exactly what happened to Real and a LOT of Italian teams. The fact that a relegated club in Recereativo almost handed Barcelona a Loss (not to mention that Barcelona can't beat a 1/2 decent team in La Liga except for lastweek) is a testament to what I am saying above. English fans can yell at the top of their lungs. But the fact is English TEAMS are weak, and Man U and Chelsea fared better because of the foreign imports who luckily werent injured nor suspended. Real lost Nistelrooy, Sergi ramos, Pepe, Christoph and still some how limped out to the end of the season. The same wouldn't be the case with lot of teams when they lose that many FIRST team players.
