Good show!
by Pooja Das on Mar 24, 2008 02:02 AM

Credit must be given to Fish. It takes a lot of nerves to play an important semis against the world no.1 and go on to comprehensively beat him. Fed was outplayed and its ok... he's a human too and wud naturally have his bad days.

The second match, of course, cud hv been more tight... wz expecting the defending champion to come more tough. However, both Rafa & Nole r two fantastic players and each has the ability to rule the court on their respective days. So hard luck Rafa... N Good Luck Nole.

N Fed?? Well, he's gonna b back with a bang. One or two poor shows here n there doesnt shake the sheer strength and power of his game. Thr isnt much to say... Time alone wud prove.

As of now, am hopin tht Nole adds another trophy to his recently conquered aussie open one! :)

federer and nadal humbled
by vinu kondiah on Mar 23, 2008 10:53 PM

It is time over for federer's domination in tennis.I really wonder whether he can tally the PISTOL PETE'S grandslam wins.
Now it is becoming more exciting as the TOP 2 GUNS are losing ,rather frequently and new heroes like DJOKOVIC r emerging in world tennis

rafa will prevail
by PUNEESH on Mar 23, 2008 01:42 PM

djokovic might have beaten rafa...but the next slam is french..and erveryone who thinks that rafa ca be beaten will get their real test in french open where it's not only your play which determines whether you win or not, it's also your fitness and your will under the heat.

Federer

If he does not lose his no.1 rating after Indian Wells, he is definitely going to lose after French Open. And after that, it is curtains for him.

Peak is over
by SkShazid on Mar 23, 2008 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

Federrer enjoyed his peak when hardly there was any good contender. Agassi, Sampras all were old enough and on exit. The others were no-match for him I am sure that with new fresh blood on turf Federer will have a tough time ahead. Still I rate him best among current players (not on clay where Nadal is king).

Dare Devil Dragon
remember Agassi
by Dare Devil Dragon on Mar 23, 2008 11:16 AM

Many guys are now happy in pinning down Federer for his 3 losses; He will prove his calibre very soon.
Remember Agassi too had the same bad patch in his life from 96 to 98; then, from 99 onwards, Agassi was on roll winning many Grand Slams and turning the table upside down. If Agassic could do that, then, certainly Federer could do much better. Even in 2007, Federer lost both in Indian Wells and Miami but gone to win 2 Slams and other titles. Form is temporary but Class is permament. Roger has Class and He will prove that again soon. Its foolish to write him off.

Federer is running out of steam.
by V S on Mar 23, 2008 10:23 AM

Novak , Nadal , Fish they are all breathing down his neck.

Federer at 26 has no more than 2 years at the top max...but the way he is losing to Novak and Nadal and others means his time has come...and now he is pretty much trying to fend off the challengers.
