Pls Dont Celebrate Anand's achievement
by yogaraj on Mar 23, 2008 08:16 AM

I would rather prefer to keep it myself. If you are celebrating his victory and every one in India doing so it means indirectly we are expecting him to perform extremely well in alll the forthcoming matches. apparently the expectation within himself goes high which leads to bug fear / fear of failure. There he will start fumbling. Let ANANB be ANAND inspite of victory or anything else. thats the safest side to him primarily to focus the game and not the public

Anand and World Chess

Anand keeps on winning matches and tournaments but there is very little publicity or cash awards given to him. Much lower ranked players in other fields are hailed by the Media and the public for ordirary performances. Chess is not a glamour sport and Anand's achievements are hardly noticed. What a pity!

Anand is the greatest sportsperson India has ever produced!
by Krishi Varma on Mar 22, 2008 10:26 PM

I think so because as a result of his talent, how many times have we read a headline "Anand beats XXX"!! and there at the chess board it is "India V XXX"(regarding the flags). Any sport it may be , as an Indian, i just want to see our flag waving higher than any other one! and boy!! does this guy do it?? oh yeahhhh.. so consistently, for so long now, and not just game victories , he wins tournaments all together..
Absolutely no surprises that he has been voted the sportsperson of India recently. He is the best Indian games and sports has to offer!!!!!
Anand the great!!!

A man of victory, always winning all the tournaments but our people and media not celebrating as in the case of cricket. I think this is the mind game, for this reason only we annoyed ahhhaa. Moreover he is not a north indian or marathy, he hails from tamilnadu, so neglecting him is choice for all of them.

Whatever it is, he will continue to win other tournements, other national news papars will post his news in the front page, we as sleepy people continuously neglect him.

Jaihind. Vazhga Baratham.
