his proves the point yeta again. North Indian domination always leads to dismal failure..!!! The same gang of Gill supporters dominating the IHF and the team only comprising of Punjoos and Jats. Where are the anti Marathi and Mumbai Haters?????? When its the turn of Pawar, Thakrey and Sachin you guys come out like a bunch of rats out of a hole.!!! and now...!!! where are the same rats now?? difficult to cover your face now????
Its always the same...always double standards against Maharastrians and Marathis and the nalways covering your own failures.!!! great thats a way we make a Nation integrate.!!!!!
By the way there was no one from Mumbai or Maharashtra in this dismal team for to blame.
Carvalho's analysis of the situation above seems to assume that the Indian team always performs under pressure. One has to look at the history to see what non-performers we are when the push comes to shove. I believe it is in GBR's interest to have Austria qualify for the final and therefore they will play with their second string team for this match. Knowing that they have qualified will make them think of the interesting possibilities. India (whose fortunes I've followed since I was a 5th standard when they won gold in Moscow) have an unique ability to make things difficult for themselves. It started in the World Cup in 1982 when needing a win to qualify for the semifinals, they drew with Russia. Fast forward to the Los Angeles Olympics, needing a draw to qualify for semifinals, they lost the match to Germany. The London World Cup was when they hit the bottom of the pit when they struggled against Belgium and France and ended up as the last team. Ditto in the Asian games in 2006, when they lost to China and didn't qualify for the semifinals. So if I had a chance to bet, I would gladly put money on India messing up their game against Chile (most likely a draw after trailing for most part of the game) and Austria winning with a slender margin to go through to the finals. Of course GBR will then qualify for Beijing. This might sound like a pessimistic fan's opinion, but I think it is based on years of failed expectations. I bear the cross of being an Indian hockey fan and thi

India never draw a match against russia in 1982 WC. They lost to Austrailia and Holland in group match and didn't qualify. In 1984 they required a win against Germany but match ended 0-0 and couldn't qualify based on goal differnce.

Apologies for the mistake. We needed a draw against Australia to qualify for the semifinals and we lost in 1982. We needed a win against germany in 1984 to qualify for the semis and we drew. We actually beat USSR 7-2 in the group stage. Thank you for pointing out the mistake.
it seasy for James to put blame on everyone except himself , he must learn leadership and how to motivate his team . When Ric was appinted he said he does not want intererence instead of welcoming him He is man with passion to blame eveyone except him self . A good coach has a strategy - last minute of game and one goal lead to defend with 10 players. Its power pack play followed by Dutch coaches in practice matches. James has never talked about his strategy except blame culture.
Not only lack of discipline but also lack of clear strategy, our players seems to play more with the body than with the stick two players were sent off for 10 minutes each in the first half same story was repeated in the second. Another clear cut fault is that when we tend to score one goal we go back foot and try to defend which will enable the opponent to dominate and force Penalty corners. There should be a strategy to go for attack if you are leading 2-0 also.
