by manoj krishnamachar on Jun 28, 2008 01:46 PM

her problem is:
1-she is a very poor server!!she has never made an attempt to improve that all these years
2-too many UNFORCED ERRORS!!she has more unforced errors than winners!!
3-lack of application!!success at a very young age has done it!!
4-cannot relay on FOREHAND ONLY!!agreed she has a LETHAL FOREHAND but she should have imroved her backhand too by this time just like STEFFI GRAF!!

Sania Mirza

Some readers suggest that Sania needs more time. Tennis is an young man's or woman's game and the potential of a future grandslam champion can be seen in their teens.

Sania will contnue to be in the second class only and she has no hope to be a grandslam champ.

Justine Henin

Honestly, everybody knows the fact that Ana Ivanova does not have what it takes to keep the No.1 ranking for more than a few weeks at the best. Justine Henin's departure from the WTA circuit has left a huge void which none of these so-called beauties have managed to fill. These beauties are more interested in their costumes & off-court antics rather than taking their game to the next level. Justine, the greatest champion after Steffi Graf, is being sorely missed.......

Absolutely...Ana does not have the game to be the world no 1...she should have lost to Dechy but it was sheer bad luck that she survived and even she could not believe her luck... maria and jelena are too unsettled about their games as well and with the serena sisters not too consistent nowadays, its going to be chaos at the womens singles...everyone has a chance to win the title now...

LALIT ANAND
Sania Mirza
by LALIT ANAND on Jun 28, 2008 09:25 AM  | Hide replies

I saw Sania Playing against the Spanish Martinez Sanchez in the second round. Sania Mirza really performed the impossible especially in the second and third sets. The match which she should have easily won she lost just because she played some what casual shots during crunch situations ie at match points I think three or four she had.

Her field game is just too good especially her cross court and down the line shots.
I personally feel that if she has to really improve in ranking in the Tennis world and win major tournaments she must become more serious in her game and concentrate in a determined manner for ensuring winning of crucial points. She must practice and practice for her service in a much more harder manner to achieve perfection and also must run like mad ie like Boris Becker in his hey days to save points and score winners. Her unforced errors must also be a cause for worry for her. I admire her game and want her to win win and win for India and her countrymen. All the best.

if you think that she played impressively then it is a pity. what a waste of a match. both players were competing to make more mistakes. its a pity that we are still keeping faith on her. every time she fails an excuse of any injury will be made. very sad that she is even stating that she is in good form nowadays. seen how top ranked players play and keep quiet. i can assure you that she will never even reach quarters finals of any grandslam in her life. what a waste.

you sound a bit cynical and prejudiced against sania. let us give her a bit more time. of course, she needs to be serious and consistent in her approach towards tennis

How can you place Sania along with Sharapova and Ivanovic. Except Sania others have won major tournments and atleast one grandslam. Please refrain from comparing Saniz with them.

After Sania's exit the tournment is for Uggos what a joke:-)

Why don't u concentrate on tennis alone?
As it is, this Wimbledon is more about play than looks.

Have you ever seen someone called Chakvetadze? She is the most beautiful tennis player ever. She is still in the draw.
