All you stupid hockey fans who feel that hockey should be given more importance than cricket should think again. Even in hockey match fixing is there.

stupid, match fixing is thr in many sports.. point is, no other sports claim their sports as gentleman game.. cricket fans are foolish to call a sluggish sports cricket a gentleman game..

sports has nothing to do with gentleness of the player..

diff betn cricket and other sports is that.. cricket is a sluggish sports played in a dozen nation... whras football, hockey, tennis are power sports...

Match fixing or match thrown?
by Demo-crazy on Jun 25, 2008 06:10 PM  | Hide replies

There is a difference between fixing a match by an opponent to someone throwing a match because they indulged in online betting.

The Malay Mail does not say that India fixed the match. It was thrown by the Malaysian players. At the same time one should ask what would have been the result if they had not indulged in online betting? They would have played well, but what if they lost even after playing well? Do you say they threw the match? Or, that it was fixed? How can one prove it in such cases?

It is not easy to prove match fixing allegations. Some people who may have genuinely been off form on a given day could be maligned by such allegations.

Pardeep, how can match fixing and match drawn one and the same?

match fixing by an opponent is different from match thrown by the other side for their own benefit. India did not make them throw the match. So, that is the difference. Now who is making a Fool of himself?

Whether Indian Team or some 3rd person fixed the match with the Malaysians. In both the cases Malaysians will throw the match for their personal benefit.

rubbish indian side was much better than the malaysian side. the malaysians have always jumped on india at the slightest oppurtunity they cannot bear thier own citizens rooting for india. few years back india had made it clear that it wud not play in malaysian soil if the malays feel hurt.
