Russia - Simply Superb

Arshavin and Pavlychenko were simply outstanding.

Arshavin ran circles around the Dutch defence at will at half his best.

If Russia take the same form in Semi Final they will hammer Italy or Spain.

With Hiddink in the dug-out you can expect that. Remember Hiddink's Australia tormenting Italy (with the best line up) in the World Cup 2006

Oh yeah ... how come I missed out Kolodin, another star in the mid-field who gave nigtmares to the Dutch with his control and long range pile drivers.

Hey

how about HIDDINK TO COACH INDIA ?

I'm sure he will lose his patience in the beginning, but if he succeeds that will become his biggest
achievement and a great energizer for Indian football.

Russians Rocks

"We get so close near enough to fight
When a russian gets me in his sights
He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow
A burst of rounds take my horse below

And as I lay there gazing at the sky
My body’s numb and my throat is dry
And as I lay forgotten and alone
Without a tear I draw my parting groan " - Iron Maiden

PACY...CLASSY...SUPREMELY FIT...SUMS THE RUSSIANS...THE DUTCH WERE NO MATCH YESTERDAY...A DESERVING WIN...THEY OUTCLASSED THE DUTCH...EVEN IN THE EXTRA TIME, THE DUTCH REPEATEDLY FAILED TO KEEP UP WITH THEIR PACE...REALLY NICE TO SEE THE SLEEPING GIANTS OF EUROPE PLAYING SO WELL.

Great Russia

Come on Rams Russia was one of the tournament Favorites.
They were untouchable through out the match , Leave some other day, they deserve to win yesterday, They had control of the ball through out the 120 Min except for few mins in last part of firth half.
They were moving with great speed in the field.

Rams
Another surprise
by Rams on Jun 22, 2008 05:24 AM  | Hide replies

If a weaker team upsets stronger team only to lose in the next round(semis here), Footballs becomes unattractive. But I am sure Russia is not like Turkey and are capable of beating Italy or Spain in the semis. Turkey-Germany match will be dull I suppose because of injuries and other problems in Team Turkey.

They are the dark horses of the tournament...i always supported russia whether they win or lose coz their football team always supported growth and training of indian footballers...russia hungary and rumania are friends of india...gus hiddink is a great coach wherever he goes the team starts playing well like korea, australia and russia. arshavin is superb. pavluchenko is prolific. russia is playing superb free flowing unselfish football thats why they are winning.
