I dont know about u guys but Turkey played exemplary match to beat Czec Repub after being down 0-2 with only 20 minutes remaining of the match!!! So I say they are the dark horses and if they get past Croatia in q. finals then anything can happen

This is UEFA Euro Cup and not World Cup. Brazil is not in Europe. Get some geberal knowledge on Football before you write such comments.
Bengal should lead the way in Football in India. More programs like Arsenal setting up training camps should be encouraged. Saurav Ganguly with all his money and influence can do a lot to put Bengal/India in the football world map. Best would be to train Indian coaches abroad and assign them various schools across the country and teach the basics to kids.
Apart from France, all top teams made it to the quarter finals. Italy is just peaking up, and Germany is still vry capable..one must however agree the most brilliant and deserving teams would be Holland, Spain, & Croatia.

Nobody can say that for sure. Don't forget Germans are very gritty and that's why they are big team because they play big when it really matters. Germans may win also but I would love to see Portuguese go through. Ballack is great because he scored when it really mattered. So keep your fingers crossed.
A few days back, honorable P M, said that base of Indian sports is Football and Hockey and it should prosper more.I am really saddened to see the affairs of Indian Football.Mr P D Munshi is at the helm of Indian Football for quite some time now. If I am right, almost 25 years. But, yields not result in bringing glory to the nation.The quality of current ndian Foot ball team is not good which I have seen while playing against Maldive in the Finale of SAFF cup. It is high time that there should be drastic changes made in the Football admini-stration and someone else who played for India should take over as the Boss of Indian Foot- ball. I have gone through the Indian Football website and found a lot of NRI footballers eligible to play for India with good physique and height. With the current Scenario of India, Football players are coming from poor family back grounds and do not have good height and physique. So, I wonder, why NRI talents are not used in improving Indian football standard. They are all playing for Europeans, American , Canadian and Australian clubs. What I suggest, that these NRI players whoever played for atleast 3rd Divn. club may be selected for trials under the name of FC NRI and play against current Indian Team, An Indian A Team which can be selected from the players played in the Santosh Trophy 2008, Indian under 23, 20 and 18 Teams. These matches should be Played as just as IPL in selected Fottball crazy cities under floodlights. These NRI player

These NRI players should be paid handsomely so that they can serve India. Once, Indian Football standard goes up, I am quite sure that there will be great interest of Football in the nation that will trigger off new crop of players with Good Physique and stamina from upper and middle class family.
You might have seen that a 2nd string Portugal was beaten though it was coached by the great Zolari. This means, a Coach can not do any thing without good and qulity Players. So, in my opinion This Bob is waste for Indian Football. India need only an Indian Coach who can motivate, support and co-ordinate the players.
Why I suggest this that I and likewise a lot of football fans in this Country dream India play in World Cup against Brazil , Argentina and other nations. I am a true patriotic Indian.

very correct.
He showed his class in the tri series final by playing test game in ODI.
In IPL whenever there was a lower target he used to come early for batting & whenever there was a big target he was used to come down. Same thing he has done in the final of Tri Series.
