Fantastic Game - Spain Vs Russia
by Prabhakar kommaravolu on Jun 11, 2008 03:47 PM

Spain played a good match. The score line should have been 7-3 had it not been for muffed chances by both sides. Still, an absorbing game, though russia did much better than the scoreline suggests.

What a poor display by Russia!!!
by santosh gaikwad on Jun 11, 2008 11:32 AM

It's very poor display by the Russian's and i think it is most weak team in euro .They try hard yesterday, but there was no co-ordination between them.Passes are poor and they wait for passing the ball. Its like training going on on the grpund!!!!Due to lack of speed and not good passes they miss too many good chances.....Very poor display..

Cricket fans are like frog in the pond
by ware vm on Jun 11, 2008 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

Cricket fans alre like frog in the pond, it feels that there is nothing beyond pond. Those who worship cricket they are like that frog, only 16 countries in the world ply it out of that only 9-10 can be called as masters, I would suggest them, just come out of pond, study some rules of football and then see outside, it's a big sea out there

Cricket is our religion,Mr!! Whats the use of supporting Euro countries, when we have not yet visited them and are full of whites. Lets support our own counrty in CRicket, where we are on the way to become world champs.

I agree with you Sandeep. Look at the position of India in Football and Cricket. In Cricket we are superpower so its natural for public to flood the message board for any discussion on cricket.

Sandeep and Anshuman...u guys, like many others, do not understand that cricket is not an olympic sport and it does not have any standing in the world. Just a few countries play this game of cricket and thats the only reason India are 'world champions'. Countries like Australia, South Africa and England, which also play cricket, have a solid background in other games. India is wasting its sporting talent on a game like Cricket which does not have a place in the olympic games. It's a sad state of affairs. I hope Indians will stop spending crores of rupees on something like the IPL and divert that money towards other games so that India may win a few gold medals at the Olympics.

Dudes

depends on how you look at it.
would you rather be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in the ocean.
cricket is a pond. sports in general is an ocean. Unless you put yourselfout in the ocean; you cant grow as a sporting nation. So leave the pond and dare to swim in the ocean bro
