To these dozens as well as the millions of true and sincere fans of M S Dhoni, I wish to bring the news (see Times of India today) that Dhoni has been invited by one of the main sponsors of Euro 2008, Carlsberg, to be a guest at one of the matches. Not just be a guest, but possibly hand over the Man of the match award for the Portugal - Switzerland game. The sponsor goes on to say that it is the first time in the history of Euro that someone from India has been requested to grace the occasion, and it would be a proud moment for India as the international press would be there to cover the event.
Well, let the detractors have their own morbid fun, we, true and sincere fans of Dhoni wish he goes from strength to strength and sparkles in the sporting arena.
