crushing defeat
by nishant parikshit on Jul 24, 2008 03:09 PM  | Hide replies

Fedrer's wimbldon defeat cant be termed as crushing defeat by any stretch of ignorance. That was one of the best fought match ever played on centre court.

Why should he retire?it is now more like a mortal who should lose once in a while. It will actually reduce pressure on him to win every time he enters the court.Let tennis lovers see more of him in times to come with more relaxed approach to game.

Rubbish suggestion.. Its like that if Australian Cricket team loses one or two games and you will ask them to retire.. Think at least once before writing..

Its gonna be Nadal's time!
by shreen on Jul 24, 2008 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

Feddy has had his best days; Now its time for the hard hitting Nadal. While Fedex still has a classy game, Nadal has proved it time and again what a winner he is with his formidable forehand curshing shots, court coverage and an overall winning attitude. He'll soon be No-1 mens champ and rule the roost for a few more seasons. In competitive sports, one cant expect to hold his position for ever. Federer's body language has become weak these days. I still love his game, but accept the realities. Nadal will replace him soon at the helm!

Let Nadal become number 1 and then see what body language Federer shows????
Right now Nadal doesn't have anything to lose but defending that number 1 spot is going to be hard with Federer on his back....

Federer has the experience of playing numerous, tight matches. Maybe he's just feeling the pressure coming from Nadal. Whatever it is, I think he will bounce back, atleast fight hard to be winning again... true greats have always been fighters and Federer is among them. Nadal is the bright future of men's tennis... Alas we need more Justin's in women's tennis

i agree with you utkarsh...it's always difficult to defend the top position and not many can do that...it has been really incredible that fed has done that for 5 years...but i think once in a while there comes a time when the animal within a champion just goes to sleep and that is what has happened with fedex...but anyone who thinks that he is down and out will come for a rude shock..because once that animal inside him awakens(who wants to crush everyone) and since there will be less expectations...he will soon be back anad back with a bang.

FEDERER MUST COME OUT FROM WIMELDON DEFEAT
by EJAZ KHAN on Jul 24, 2008 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

WIN AND LOSS IS THE PASS AND PARCEL OF THE GAME BUT THE WAY FEDERER HAD LOST THIS MATCH AFTER WINNING THE FIRST FOUR GAME IT LOOKS LIKE HE HASNOT COME OUT OF WIMELDON DEFEAT. HE MUST FORGET THAT ALL ENGLAND CLUB LOSS AS SOON AS POSIBLE IF HE WANTS TO WIN THE OLYMPIC MEDAL & US OPEN.
