Nadal might become No.1 by the end of the year but he will lose it next year. Nadal will have a truckload of points to defend while fedex will have everything to gain.

if u dont know who becker is, you should stop watching tennis you fool!! he is the youngest ever champion at wimbledon at age 17, idiot!
what Becker's say is totally wrong. continue 5 times wimbldon campion is not a joke. if nadal give that much consistency then thought about nadal before that i simply say the federer was the best tennis player of the world. after all federer is a human.
Boris Becker has played under the same ranking system - points getting added and dropping off on previous 12 months performance on the computer - and enjoyed its benefits. Hence, for him to say that Federer is not no.1 even when the computer says so is not correct. No one grudges Nadal his status today and he is certainly the no.1 player of 2008. But over the last 12 months, Federer's consistency has paid off and he continues to be no.1 in spite of a bad 2008. Even after such a bad 2008 if Nadal has been unable to overtake Federer, it shows the greatness of Federer. So, stop talking nonsense and respect Federer or change the ranking system!

when ur number one u have to be the ultimate player which federer has been for the past couple of years.Nadal is playing very well but he would have to continue playing well as now federer has a reason to play better and now has a challenge to work on.H e will come out with flying colours. When tiger woods was playing last year he was only able to win one major but still ended up being the best at the end.Everyone slips its just human but the great fight the situation and come back on top .The final could have gone either way at wimbeldon.Federer will be back
Nadal can't replace federer from no.1 position at least 2 more year. It doesn't matter that he lost the Both final(Wimbledon and French Open). Fact is that federer reached all the three grand slam final this year, but nadal was not in the Australia open final.

Excuse me, but there is a LITTLE mistake here - Federer DID NOT reach the Australian Open Final, it was Tsonga v/s Djokovic, so get your facts right, dude! Or are you already assuming that Fed will reach the US Open finals? Hahaha!

It's a mistake by me, fedrer lost the semifinal by jochovic in Aus.open. But that result doesn't effect on his consistency. We will definitely see federer in U.S.Open final. But we can't say that about Nadal.
