You Call This A Sport
by MS on Jul 24, 2008 10:43 PM

You cannot participate.
You remain a spectator.
You can only fantasize.
A sport, it isn't.

F1 to India

Let Mr. Mallya and Force India begin with winning a single point in the on-going F-1 season.
Has anyone any idea what is the total amount of fuel burnt for every F-1 race, if one was to include just the transportation of the cars to the venue, fule consumed during the tests and trials, qualifying races, and during the final on the race day? CAN THE WORLD AFFORD IT?

stop this , save fuel...

As world is running out of fuel and Indians are visualizing a huge hike in fuel prices,i request mallya to stop this racing activity...Bringing F1 track will put India far ahead of other country..But there has to be some other source of energy to compensate petrol...Am sure gas is not a solution for this and its a hazard rather...plz save fuel and save transport

when mayawati ji will come to power she will ban the domestic flights for middle class. All will go to office in bullock carts or public buses. The good old days are going to come back again.

We youth need to participate strongly and vote in next election (2009) to teach these old indian politicians a lesson. Posting message alone will not save us from them. Please vote at leaste!! You see in the trust vote, every vote counts and appears we all the youth think a like so we will be a good vote bank if we start voting :)

Yeah...On an average...each F1 team consumes 200000 liters of fuel per season (source F1.com)....imagine how much fuel wud be spent in other forms of racing.

Things that will happen in INdia

1. F1 to be hosted in Delhi
2. The track to be named "Kanshi Raam Pharmula ek racing patti" by our PM Ms Mayawati
3. In addition to F1, we will have cow racing, horse racing and camel racing on those tracks
4. The turns will be named after traitors who will be responsible for elections 2008 (e.g. Karat turn, Advani turn etc)
5. THere will be a reservation for Indian team in F1 and 30% of the podium will be reserved for team India (i.e guaranteed 1st or 2nd or 3rd finish)

Cant wait for 2010 to arrive..

Jai Hind

Dam good ! I like it .. Indian politicians will need Grand Stand Passes, Free seats , they might even try to bribe teams to get their sons into one of the F1 cars for racing !! Or even Bribe the Racing federation itself , no idea for what but they might put up boards with Gowda folding his hands and begging for votes ..filthy politicians.

Conserve fuel for what !! so that "USA can burn it all at 4 $ a gallon ! World cannot stop .. the ideal is to find a solution simultaneously. If not for F1 you would have never known what aerodynamic mean , what carbon fibers mean .. , what carbon disk brakes mean , what tiptronic means , what traction control means .. think about all theses ..
