Stefan Edburg
by Calspadeaspade on Jul 07, 2008 09:55 PM

If people are talking grace it is stefan Edburg who is full of it. But that game did not help him to stay long. Federer has wisely chosen to keep hitting from base line.Nadal is only 22. He can continue for another 5 years easily if his knee does not wear out. Agasi did with his athleticism. Nadal has much more weapons than Agassi. People should listen to John Mckenroes comments when judging Nadal's play which more un biased. Mckenroe is the biggest fan of serve and volley game.

Problem for tennis - Nadal
by anir on Jul 07, 2008 09:11 PM  | Hide replies

I am a tennis fan and I am sorry but its so difficult to enjoy watching Nadal.

- he does not have any grace in his play.
- he appears on court like he fighting a war, a crude low level war, and not playing tennis.

And worst, he is unethical cheater - takes too much time to server, particularly on big points. (He got sevral warnings on the court in the final and when he was asked to server quickly by the umpire he lost the point to give a break point).

Not to mention Roger is a delight to watch in every aspect.

What Roger has gained for tennis Nadal will make sure to tennis loses.

Federer is all grace. Nadal has raw power and we can't compare with Fedex. Fedex is the best

If Nadal improves his net play he wont have to run so much. He is capable of doing that. He can finish points fast.

Rafa is just not only power

He has that lethal side spin like fading and srawing in golf. He makes spin work for him in grass also.

Area where rafa can improve
by Calspadeaspade on Jul 07, 2008 05:19 PM

If he improves his net play he will be un stopable for another 4 years. That will save him some pounding of his legs and knees.

One loss you count em out
one win u forgive all his sins
U salute high
dilute lows

Life is such
u can't win much
U loose one day
world calls u a gay

Fedex will bounce
and then he will pounce
put Nadal on the floor
kick hit out of the door

So stop counting him out
HE WILL come back
i will never doubt

No body is counting any one out. Today is Nadal's day . That is all. No body can take any thing for granted. Nadal won a very hard fought battle. He deserves it. No body can say he is going to win for ever. Next match is a different story. No body is counting any one out. It is only Fedex lovers counting every one else out. A person can not be champion for ever. If that were true Rod laver will be a champion today.

The spirit of the Game

Amazing, just amazing... haven't had witnessed a match like that before. I still have the hangover this morning. It was sheer determination, strength, fitness and psychological test for both the player. Both of them came out in flying colours. I’m sure Roger didn’t feel bad losing as he admired his opponent who could push his game to make better. Congratulations to both of them. Ultimately this is a super achievement for tennis and the Wimbledon.
