Supporting Players Emotionally & Not The Game
by Mr. Qureshi on Jul 20, 2008 12:40 PM

Supporters of Roger & Nadal sound more emotional than justified.
Definitely the tennis was winner & i would like to see these kind of great matches
I beleive its end for none of them and they both will give great entertainment.

Common comments from Federer supporter's.
'Rafa is not good as Federer & rafa taking time to serve & wiping front & back.
Common comments from Nadal supporter's.
Sunset for Federer & End of an era for Federer.
Losers have always Excues. Moreover, supporters of losers too.
Its for sure that you read unsporting comments with emotions runs high from east.
I hardly see Asians interested in game and more interested in taking players sides.

by David Coverdale on Jul 07, 2008 10:02 PM

The bloodied opponents of Roger Federer who always got trashed by him, will now feel encouraged!!
Even they will belive that they have a chance with him!!

Following are the people who can upset Federer now :
Marat Safin
Nikolay Davydenko
David Ferrer
Andy roddick
Novak Djokovic
David Nalbandian

All these guys will now feel encouraged that it is not a one horse race anymore...Federer's loss to Nadal at Wimbledon is the best thing to have happened to men's tennis in last 5 years!!

Hurray Rafa.......now the US open will be damn interesting!!
My fav. at US open : David Ferrer

Its a disaster for tennis

I am a tennis fan and I am sorry but its so difficult to enjoy watching Nadal.

- he does not have any grace in his play.
- he appears on court like he fighting a war, a crude low level war, and not playing tennis.

And worst, he is unethical cheater - takes too much time to serve, particularly on big points. (He got sevral warnings on the court in the final and when he was asked to serve quickly by the umpire he lost the point to give a break point).

Not to mention Roger is a delight to watch in every aspect.

What Roger has gained for tennis Nadal will make sure to tennis loses.

i dont think it will be disaster for tennis.....rather it will be much more interesting to watch n nadal will also do what roger has done for tennis. roger is a great player but i think he has to work on his backhand coz most of the pints he lost was due to that........

Dear Friends,
Roger Federer is not only best on the court but also off the court. It was a wonderful and see-saw match between the world best tennis players.

Congratulations to Nadal

Indeed Nadal deserves many Kudos for his stupendous victory. He is the true fighter and passionate about the victory.

However still I felt man of the match was still Federar. He is a true champion. True sportman, composed and a great player. What a come back was that when he literaly snatched the match from Rafa and cruised it till 9-7 in the 5th set.

I still feel Federar you still rocks :)

Hope to see more of you again. Its definitly not the end.

But like we say Jo jeeta wohi sikandar and Rafa you are the sikandar for this moment.

Dumbest Excuse
by runriot on Jul 07, 2008 05:14 PM

Newly in style, you blame the weather, the light, the crowd, illness eta al...and then say..."ofcourse I don't want to give excuses but.."...this is probably the best excuse of them all in vogue today by sportsmen.

One loss you count em out
one win u forgive all his sins
U salute high
dilute lows

Life is such
u can't win much
U loose one day
world calls u a gay

Fedex will bounce
and then he will pounce
put Nadal on the floor
kick hit out of the door

So stop counting him out
HE WILL come back
i will never doubt

history repeats itself

Mc Enroe and Borg played the match of the century in 1980,a thrilling five setter, which Borg won, eventually. The next year, Mac dethroned him in a four setter ending Borg`s five year reign. It required a left hander to challenge the hegemony of Borg at the grass. Last year Nadal challenged Federer with a five setter and subsequently took the cup this year with another match of the century(?) and ended Federer`s five year reign.Rafael is a left hander too.

BORG was the culprit!!!!!!
by sreenu jennepalli on Jul 07, 2008 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

He was just chasing federer from french open, commenting that he is my third choice to pick for the Wimbledon and all. he was jealous and scared of federer beating his record. have guys seen how happy he was when fed lost his service in the 5th set. He is the first culprit to play a mind game , and Nadal is second irritating much time for service and scratching ffront and back all the time.

he has been playing with kids...(andy rodic..heweit..depleted safin..fades philiposis...the only challange came last yeay...from nadal..
if not for rain..Nadal would have won the match in the 3rd set itself.

your kind of cinics will never come good. you cant even appretiate such a great match and pick on the excuses from sidelines. there is a provision for the chair umpire to take out a point from the player each time he takes more than the stipulated time to serve, so just check out whether Nadal was given any point punishment - you will find no. Nadal service time is like this always, you couldnt see this fault when Federer edge past him last two times ? why now ? If you want to be one of the greatest of all times you have to be mentally strong enough to face all the odd ones, so dont abuse the mental games. Anyway no use in debating you over this as you are obsessed with Federer, not the game !
