When will Sania make it to the quarterfinals??
by David Coverdale on Jul 02, 2008 03:38 PM  | Hide replies

Cmon Sania, crack the US open big time.....with the retirement of Justine Henin Hardine, the women's draw has opened a lot.....

You are physically stronger than all these Russian girls.....so if these frail Russian lasses can make it big, you can easily do it..

Just work on the following areas :
1) Improve first serve percentage
2) Improve the quality of second serve
3) Imrpove your weak backhand.....
4) Employ the coaching services of a fromer great like Mats Wilander or Boris Becker..

Cmon Sania....go Sania go!! US open semis is what we are all expecteing...

u r hoping too much....

Sania cant make it to QF singles in her life time. She is there for viewers, marketing, publicity, hype.

What russian babes has and not sania is passion, lust, interest and fire power...

she can only upset top players ince in a year... then follows paper statements for 2 months.. then she lose to a player over 100 rank..

What quarters? When will she make past 1st & 2nd rounds? She has to shed about 10 kilos of her fat and 100% of her disproportionate fame. She has become a hero without achieving anything. Thats her problem. She is too worried about Islamic Shariat rather than tennis.

I think in a few years time she will team up with feminists to preach modernity among muslim woman. That's a good career option for her.

zheng in wimbledon women's semifinals

It is very surprising that a Chinese woman player ranked below 100 has reached the semifinals of this years Wimbledon. How can a player from a barbarian( not having democracy) country reach to such heights? China never had a tennis background. here India with so many years of tennis exposure right from the colonial days have not seen any Indian player(both men & women) never reach even the 4th round of the singles,in the last 30 years. Vijay Amrithraj was the last to reach the quarter finals in the mid 70's.Ramesh Krishnan, Leander Paes, Bhupathy,Sania Mirza have all exited by the 3rd round. Infact Bhupathy has never crossed the 1st round if my memory does not fail me.It is a shame for Indian tennis that a Chinese women player has made history. We should drop hopes of a gold medal in tennis expected from Paes & Bhupathy in the men's doubles in the Beijing Olympics.

wake up China is not the same China 30 years ago. if you have been there, you will know its people enjoy more freedom than India in terms of society openness.

As of tennis, they have 4 women players ranked in top 50, they won 2004 Olympic women double gold, Zheng also won 2006 Austrilian Open double champ and 2006 Wimbledon double champ.

Ramanathan Krishnan, father of Ramesh Krishnan, had reached the semifinal at Wimbledon in the late 60's.
