sania mirza is a fat ass who likes her cream cakes n biryani..how can u play competitive tennis with that food? plus her serve is extremely terrible...for her second serve, most opponents stand inside the base line to thrash the return...how can u expect this fatso to win matches..

Most on this board wants Sania to win the event whenever she steps on court... most of you have no freaking clue how much efforts she has taken to reach this level from the indian conditions... (I am talking about training facilities, financial/social conditions - yeah the people who hate her being a muslim and not wearing a burkka and people who hate her just being a muslim...)

It is not easy to in the tennis world to be on top ( beware most of tennis players are the products of years of tennis only education from top tennis schools which costs lots of money). Without that she has achieved the most of she could - just she is better player than any other tennis player from India - may better than 99.9999999999% professional players in the world!! That will be most likely better that any indian woman could ever even dream off... you know how I can be so sure? Look at the desis here in USA. With all the money and facilities available here all desis want to bring up the perfect nerrdies in the town - all spelling/geography/chess bees!! (no offense to the kids - they have done a great job - I am talking about the parents' focus)...

Lol you just snatched the words out of my mouth. I keep saying this also. Indians in the US have all the money and facilities. But They are only interested in being nerds training for Spell bee and geography bee. The non nerds Desis are heavily into the cheap bollywood dancing.

What I meant in my previus post is that Amritraj brothers are a minority who'd rather send their kids to play Tennis instead of Kumon and spelling bee...

And how many indians are in USA? Your list good, but too thin compared to the number of desis are here and how affluent they are....
Have have you noticed that no below 20 yrs olds are in this list? Means none of the recent generation has put any effort towards it....

Sanjay Beach - born 1966, in USbase in Philipines, not NRI
Mohini Bhardwaj - Born 1978 - NRI
Brandon Chillar - Born 1982 - Not NRI
Sunil Gulati - 1955 not a sportsman
Laxmi Poruri - 1972 NRI
Rajeev Ram - 1984 NRI
Sonjay Dutt - 1982 NRI

I hope to see more indians takeup professional sports here....

I agree... Indian kids in the US are not much into sports - mostly because their parents are not into sports. Look at an average Indian in the USA - a medical doctor, a software engineer, a research scholar, a motel owner... Amritraj brothers are an absolute minority.

Dear Curious Onlooker,

Your last post does not have a reply button... so I'm replying to my own post... but it's really for you...

If you're dreaming of Sania riding (over) you(r ...) with a bicycle and relishing it... then either you're a masochist or its really high time you start using the brain for what it is...
