ever since justin henin retired, we have scarcity of real tennis players. sharpova, ivanovik win grandslam and then exit in 1st or 2nd round in next grand slam. there is absolutely no consistency. atleast sania is showing consistency in not reaching last 16.

Congrats...she is in quarter finals... All these Sania bashers...are cricket fans...loosers.... She is the one who has made tennis a house hold name in India...by wat so ever means..this credit goes to her...It does not matter she looses or wins!! Cricket is a loosers game...tennis is a game which requires one of the most fitness.... Our cricket team - full of pot bellies..LOL!!! Not her game, but her looks, her figure and its exploitation by the media may have made tennis a household name in India. Forget her looks, players of the like of Vijay Amritraj, Ramesh Krishnan and Leander Paes were much better tennis players than Sania. Unfortunately, they were not as sexy as Sania and hence did not capture all the media hype as Sania does!

Maria Sharapova's performance matches her looks, that's why she gets all those endorsements. Imagine, if Sania were to be a Russian, a Eurpoean or an American, wud she have got all the attention that she does? Sania is what she is only because she's an Indian!
